I love dogs! I will make sure your furbaby gets adequate exercise and is content. They are sure to be happy and ready for snuggles after walking or running outside. I give the doggos belly rubs and lots of love. If it’s your first time leaving your little one, I totally understand how stressful it can be. Before booking, we can text, have a voice call, or even set up a meet n’ greet. It’s up to you! During the booking I send photos every day or two (if desired), and of course you can text or call if you’d like to check how it’s going. My specialty is athletic dogs because I can ensure they get their daily run. But if you have more of a couch potato, don’t worry! Running is optional, and they can loaf around or sunbathe while the runners chase to their heart’s content. My own dog gets anxious without his hoomans, so I help the doggies feel at ease. Your dog can grab a spot beside me on my sofa for snuggles, or at night, on the bed for a calming sleep at their home away from home. Fun fact: I’ve been told my pet portraits are top notch!

10/10!! Would recommend letting Lori watch your pup! Lola had so much fun with her resident dog, Sherlock. Lori was very communicative and provided photos throughout the stay. We definitely will be using her again! I’m sure Lola can’t wait to go back.
Lori was amazing with our 6 year old basset hound. Our dog felt right at home when she stayed with her. Usually our dog gets nervous and can’t wait to leave when boarded. I will definitely use her again.

Lori takes fabulous care of Seamus! Reliable, communicative, and obviously a big dog lover! Seamus was there this time for an extended stay since we were on a family trip and it was wonderful to know he was being well care for at Lori's. Highly recommend!!

Schedule
I am employed full time, but I work from home four days/week. So most of the time I am home caring for your furbaby and mine! Our usual routine is to go for an early morning drive in my SUV up to the park for off-leash playtime (in a sizable fenced area) where the dogs can run, walk, or explore. Sometimes we continue our outing with a leash walk on the many pathways there. Next it’s home for water, and after that’s settled, breakfast. Naps are next, and then there are ropes and toys to play with for playtime. After their pm meal has settled, we go for another walk either near my place or back at the park!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a friendly German Shorthaired Pointer, and a large green space beside our building. The dogs can easily go out for pee-breaks beside my ground-floor patio. The doggies love monitoring the squirrels, bunnies and resident ground hog who live in the grassy field and trees beside the patio. Rest assured, I always keep them on a leash or a staked-in lead if we are in an unfenced area. There’s a fenced dog park we can walk to for off-leash fun. We usually have it to ourselves but I monitor closely if there’s another furry friend already playing. We also regularly go to the nearby school grounds for a change of scenery. When it’s time to eat, I separate your furbaby from mine so they get all their nutrition they need without any unintended sharing! I also have water bowls in different areas, encouraging hydration. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed. I have steps going up to my bed to make it easy for them. Or they can choose a spot on the carpet or dog bed beside my bed. I will care for your furry friend like my own.
Pets
A typical day
I love to take the dogs to the park and let them stop and smell all the smells. I believe the mental stimulation is just as important as the physical exercise. We will work on skills like sit, stay, and fetch. I really enjoy photography and I always try to get a few good photos to send you. In the winter we walk on the beach. It seems to me that dogs also like to feel the sand between their toes.
