Safety, trust & environment
I have done all levels of pet care-from simple one hour drop-in visits for cats to feeding and cleaning up for horses and cows (extra fee for that!!) So, I am very versatile with my clients! I also find that I bond easily with pets, and can often connect to shy or nervous cats and dogs by being present, calm and talking to them. I also know to leave someone alone when they just don't want to connect. I usually do lots of walks and playing together as well as simply sitting and petting and offering yummy treats!
Information Lori L. would like to know about your pet
I have experience with pets who have medical issues and/or need daily medicine and I have done end-of-life care. I also have a lot of experience with shelter dogs and cats that have had trauma in their life-I try to provide lots of calm and happy interactions. I work to create a safe energy to help them be less nervous or scared. The two situations I DO NOT work with are aggressive dogs or familys that have 4 or more dogs.
A typical day
I have often taken dogs with me in the van to country settings where they can walk and run more freely--not always be on a leash. I also like to mix it up--not do the same walk every day, try new places or do a short one early and a short one late, etc. I also adjust the walks to the dog's ages and abilities: one 1 hour-long walk, or 3 five-minute strolls, or 26 little walks for puppies with tons of energy!! And, for cats, lots of petting and STRING playing or laser chasing--they never do catch it, do they?!?!

Pet care experience
*** I will be available in Spokane and CDA starting April 10th. Hope to talk to you all soon! I have been a housesitter and petsitter for years. I really enjoy getting to have new pet friends! I have taken care of all sorts of animals--dogs, cats, birds, lizards, hamsters, bunnies, horses, pigs, goats, chickens and even cows! I feel comfortable with pets who have medical issues, as well. I also have done a fair amount of pet massages for dogs and cats (not lizards, though!!)

Reviews

Lori did a great a job with our dog. She was punctual with her visit as per the time we requested and was very generous with her time. We loved the photos she sent and communication regarding her visit. Will definitely trust her with our dog again!

Lori took great care of our pets while we were traveling. She was very attentive to their needs. She is knowledgeable about animals as well as there special needs.

Lori is great. Very attentive and the dogs love her! Thanks!!!

Lori came to look after my two dogs on New Year’s Day. She helped us out last minute and was wonderful with both of our pups. Would definitely recommend and will contact her again in the future!
