Pet care is our routine. At Stow Road Pet Sitters, caring for animals isn’t something we fit into our schedules—it’s what our schedules are built around. Our team works in shifts, covering mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays so pets get consistent, timely care every day of the week. Each team member follows a carefully coordinated schedule managed through our shared system, allowing us to provide everything from early morning potty breaks to evening tuck-ins, plus midday walks, playgroups, and boarding. This structure ensures no visit is rushed, no walk is skipped, and your pets get the attention they deserve on time, every time. Because we operate as a dedicated pet care business, our daily and weekly routines are designed to balance client visits, ongoing training, and communication—making pet care not just part of our week, but the heart of it.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether your pets stay with us or we come to you, our goal is the same—keep them safe, happy, and comfortable while maintaining their normal routines. In our home Boarding dogs become part of our family for their stay. We host small groups so each dog gets plenty of attention, playtime, and rest. Dogs enjoy supervised play in our fenced yard, enrichment activities to keep their minds busy, and cozy spaces indoors for downtime. We follow your feeding instructions exactly, administer any needed medications, and keep you updated with daily photos and notes. In your home When visiting your pets at your home, we keep their familiar environment and routines intact. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks or playtime, cleaning, medication administration, and, of course, plenty of love and companionship. We’re also happy to bring in mail, water plants, and check that everything in the home is as it should be. Because we work as a team, there’s always a trained, background-checked sitter available who knows your pet’s care plan inside and out. That means you can travel or work late knowing your pets are in capable, caring hands—whether they’re curled up on our couch or snoozing in their favorite spot at home.

Information Lori & Kaitlyn & Steven H. would like to know about your pet

What we like to know ahead of time To give your pets the best possible care, we like to know as much as we can about their routines, personalities, and special needs before we start. This includes: • Daily routine – Feeding schedule, walk times, preferred activities, and bedtime habits. • Health & safety – Vaccination status, medical conditions, allergies, medications, or mobility concerns. • Behavior & temperament – How they interact with new people, other animals, and different environments; any triggers, fears, or quirks we should be aware of. • Training cues – Commands they know, signals you use, and any behaviors you’re reinforcing (or discouraging). • Emergency contacts – Your vet’s information and a backup contact if we can’t reach you. The more we know in advance, the better we can tailor care, keep your pets comfortable, and ensure their time with us feels as close to “home” as possible.

A typical day

Fun activities we do with pets We believe a happy pet is an engaged pet, so we tailor activities to match each animal’s age, personality, and energy level. For our canine guests, that might mean neighborhood walks with plenty of sniff stops, games of fetch or tug, supervised group play in our fenced yard, or enrichment games like treat puzzles and snuffle mats. Puppies get extra potty breaks and short training reinforcement sessions, while seniors enjoy gentle strolls, massage, and cozy cuddle time. For cats, we break out the feather wands, laser pointers, and crinkle toys—or just settle in for head scratches and lap time if that’s what they prefer. Small animals, birds, and backyard flocks get interaction and species-specific enrichment to keep their minds and bodies active. No matter the species, we make sure every pet gets a mix of physical exercise, mental stimulation, and affection—so they’re not just cared for, they’re truly happy while you’re away.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Lori, Kaitlyn, and Steven! They took care of my dogs like they were their own, and I could tell right away how much love and attention they gave them. From daily updates and adorable photos to making sure every little detail was perfect, they went above and beyond. My pups were happy, healthy, and clearly adored their new friends. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such capable and caring hands. Our pets LOVE Lori! She is wonderful with them, she pays attention to detail, and provides updates while we're away. Porter gets so excited to see his buddy, and our cats (who typically hide from strangers) even come out to say hello. She is fantastic, and we totally trust her.
