Retired Empty Nesters + Dog Lovers!
My husband Gary and I have owned dogs and cats for 35 years, until recently when our last dog, sixteen year old Bebe, passed away earlier this year. This is our first time without pets and although we are not ready to get a new one of our own, I am excited to join Rover and welcome a furry friend over to enjoy our backyard and belly scratches. We have owned small, medium and big dogs of all sizes, most recently two Peek-A-Poms but have also had a Lab, Golden Retriever, and lots of mutts of all sizes. We also had a cat named Cuddles who lived to be 22 years old. Many of our animals in their old age required oral medication, so this is something I am comfortable administering for your pet. In addition to owning dogs and cats, we have also spent the past twenty years helping friends and family when they are on vacation with pet sitting. Whether it be our daughters 90 pound hound dog for an overnighter or our aunts small but spunky Shih Tzu during a month long Hawaii trip, we have always welcomed our home to doggy friends.

Our welsh corgi had so much fun and personal attention in her several-day stay with Lori and Gary. Their communication is superb and it was a pleasure to receive photos of our pup playing and cuddling with them while we were traveling. We will definitely be checking to see whether they are available again when we need a dog sitter.

Schedule
I am retired, which means I will be home nearly 100% of the time while your pet is in my care. Beyond the occasional grocery run, your dog will be in my company all the time. This also means in addition to having a big back yard with six foot fence, they will always be supervised during outdoor time.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a six foot fully fenced backyard and your dog will not be unsupervised during their stay. I am happy to send lots of pictures and updates and if doing drop ins at your home, will follow any safety instructions and can help with additional tasks like checking the mail or watering plants.
