About Stella

Stella is very easy going, affectionate, and eager to please; she gets her feelings hurt easily if you yell at her. Stella is my gentle soul and will quietly talk to you when she wants something ( food, water, to go outside or her night time biscuit). She will be very excited and jumpy when you get her leash and harness out of the dining room closet. She IS a boxer, so they drool/bubbles, snore and fart PLUS once she is comfortable with you she will want you in her personal space. Stella is a leaner and will crowd you if you let her.

About Shelby

Shelby is a typical young boxer - high energy, bounchy, loud, talkative/sassy and loveable. She is learning her manners (i.e down, off, stay, and no). She will SIT when you tell her especially if you have a treat in your hand. Shelby is very good with "Get your toy/ball" and "drop it". She loves taking a walk and is semi-leash trained she responds to "leave it" when she gets distracted. At times she can be timid/skittish around new people or things (but not aggressive). Shelby plays rough and truly doesn't understand her own strength or size. She is a sweet baby and relaxes as soon as you gently scratch her chest (relaxes to the point of dozing off while standing up). Keep in mind she IS a Boxer so she is going to drool/bubbles if you have food, snore when sleeping, and farts at will. When she gets comfortable with you, she will want you in her personal space (which means laying on or against, standing on or over you) if you let her. Be prepared if you tell her "no" she will most likely sass you (loud bark), she is a talker and will let you know when she wants something. She is not thrilled with her kennel and it will take biscuits, peanut butter filled kong and patience to get her in it, but she will be fine once in.

Special Requirements

Being a white boxer Shelby has some special requirements, she has what they call "Hyper-Sensativity Responses", which means she will break out in HUGE hives that cover her from head to toe, and her face swells up severally. Her seasonal allergies are controls through hygiene and Benadryl. IF she has a fill blown episode she needs veterinary attention immediatley. So far she has had no respiratory complication and IV steriods and benadryl have worked. Being White and having pink skin on her face and ears she also needs sun screen and to avoid long spans of full sun exposure.
