Where Tails Wag & Pups Feel at Home

I’ve been a devoted dog owner and animal lover for more than 20 years and caring for pets has always been a meaningful part of my life. Over the years, I’ve shared my home with a wide variety of personalities and breeds, including Boxers, Pomeranians, Peek-a-Poms, Chihuahuas, Chorkies, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Schnauzers. I’ve personally trained every dog I’ve owned from puppyhood through adulthood, including basic obedience, crate training, leash walking, fetch, potty training, and bell training. That experience taught me that every dog learns differently, and that patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and understanding a dog’s individual personality go a long way. I’m comfortable with everything from the energetic puppy who wants to play all day to the dog who would rather curl up beside you and keep you company. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, routines, and the little things that help a dog feel secure and comfortable in a new environment. My goal isn’t simply to “watch” your dog... it’s to make them feel safe, loved, included, and comfortable while you’re away. My experience extends well beyond dogs, too. I’ve owned and cared for Parakeets, Cockatiels, a Mitred Conure, African Grey, Moluccan Cockatoo, and Yellow-Nape Amazon. Caring for these very different animals has given me an appreciation for how important it is to respect each pet’s unique temperament, routine, communication style, and needs. What I bring to your pet: -20+ years of hands-on pet ownership and care -Experience with multiple breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities -Puppy-to-adult experience with training and basic obedience -Comfortable reinforcing established commands, crate routines, leash manners, and potty routines -A calm, patient approach that prioritizes positive reinforcement -Plenty of play, exercise, attention, affection, and companionship -Close attention to your pet’s normal routine and individual personality -Understanding that some pets need adventure and activity, while others need a quiet place to relax -Experience caring for both dogs and companion birds -Most importantly, genuine love for animals and not just a love of the Rover job When your dog stays with me, they’re not being treated like a guest... they’re being welcomed like family! ❤️🐾

I'm dependable, responsible, and able to give your pet plenty of time and attention. -Boarding: While staying in my home, they'll have access to a secure, fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play, potty breaks, and supervised time outside. They'll also have a friendly, senior Chihuahua companion to keep them company. -Drop-Ins: I'll make sure your pet gets the attention, fresh water, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and affection they need. -Walks: I focus on safe enjoyable exercise while reinforcing good leash manners (if needed), and allowing ample time for your dog to sniff, explore, and enjoy the fresh air. Above all, I treat every pet as an individual and strive to make them feel safe and loved!

Before caring for your pet, I'd love to know a little about their routine, personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and happy. It's also helpful to know about any medications, dietary restrictions, fears, or special needs, along with your contact information and emergency vet details. The more I know, the better I can make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for!
