At my house we have invisible fence to keep the dogs from leaving the yard, though our younger dog needs to be on a long lead because he is so excitable and cannot always be trusted to stay in the yard. We also have invisible fence inside to keep both dogs out of the kitchen.

My older dog has several special needs due to kidney disease and allergies. I have never given any pet an injection but may be willing to try.

I enjoy walking dogs. It is so beneficial to them and myself. We try to walk our two dogs at least once a day, weather permitting, at least 1/2 mile. Fetch and tug of war are both fun for dogs that are willing to play.

Update June 1, 2026. I have taken a part-time job and right now I can only accept cat drop in requests . Unfortunately I can’t commit to dog walking because of this part-time job unless it’s on the weekend. I am answering as a pet owner. I am hoping to start working as a pet sitter/dog walker soon. As a kid we had birds and hamsters, then graduated to cats when I was about 14. As a young adult I usually had up to 4 cats at the same time. When my kids were in high school, my husband introduced me to dogs by re-homing a dog named Lucy. We still have her. I had never had dogs before but I am so glad I did not say NO to hubby at the time. We have 2 dogs now but no cats. I do miss having cats and hope to again some day.

Lorene did a great job taking care of my cat. She was very kind and patient, and took the time to play with my cat and help her slowly get familiar and comfortable with her. I really appreciate her care!
