I currently work a remote 9-5, so I can take time to take care of pets as needed throughout my work day as long as I allocate my time correctly! Then have the rest of the day to spend more thoroughly with the pups and cats:)

Safety, trust & environment
I live in an apartment that has it’s own dog park and a baseball field that is walking distance! (I call even the big ones pups), to have space to run and have fun! If I go to a clients home I make sure to be outside with the dogs and have some play time with them apart from just walks.

Information Lorena B. would like to know about your pet
I do not have a preference or particularly any trouble with most dogs. However, if the dog is special needs or has a history of trauma I must be informed prior to visiting so that I may adapt my approach. For example: there was an adopted wiener pup that I had to be more gentle and less hands on with (such as no petting and belly rubs), because he was sensitive to new environments and people. Information like this is vital, as I want your pet to be as comfortable and as happy as possible. Gaining your trust is important, but so is gaining theirs, so I’ll make sure to adjust when necessary:)
A typical day
If there is a yard in which I can take the dogs then that is ideal, I like to play games with the dogs in order to keep their minds and bodies stimulated:) If I have to step out I make sure to put “dog tv” on for them to feel at ease and less alone. Or, I just use some food hacks Such as frozen carrots or celery covered in peanut butter, this tends to keep them occupied and for a while without them getting chubby:)

Pet care experience
I’ve recently opened my schedule back up to new clients! I’ve had quite a few repeat clients that I’ve worked with for a a while but, have now a few have moved away so, I’d love to meet some new furbabies! I’ve taken care of dogs/cats of all kinds since I can remember. Being the one to rely on when loved ones or friends are in need of attentive care for their four legged family member:)

Reviews

Lorena was excellent! She took great care of our dog and communication was great. I would definitely hire her again.

Lorena was an energetic, sweet, and caring sitter for our two young pups, Rigby and Juno. Since our dogs aren’t used to being left with new people, they can be a bit anxious—but they warmed up to Lorena right away at the meet & greet and throughout her stay. She was wonderfully communicative, sending us updates that gave us peace of mind, and she was very respectful of our home, leaving it spotless. We’re so glad to have found someone our dogs are comfortable with and will definitely book Lorena again!
Lorena was fantastic. Very on time. She is super kind and my pup very fast became friendly with her.

First time using Rover and also leaving our puppy Enzo. Lorena made the process so comforting and easy. She sent picture/video updates every day and kept us informed of what he did daily. She also was super patient as Enzo is only 4 months old and although he has potty training down at home not so much at her place. He also was not used to being around other dogs but Lorena had another dog with her that she slowly got Enzo used to being around during his stay. I would definitely reach out to Lorena again for boarding! Thanks Lorena for keeping our little guy safe and happy! :)
