I’ve been a dog owner and caretaker since I was 10 years old and have lived with dogs in multiple places across the U.S. I’ve had experience with a wide range of breeds and sizes—from my first dog, Cody the Shiba Inu, to my current dog Reese, a Lab/Plott Hound mix—so no size, energy level, or personality makes me nervous. I genuinely think every dog is just as lovable as the next. My dog Reese is now 13 years old, and caring for her as she’s aged has given me extensive experience with senior dogs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, assisting dogs up and down stairs, and adjusting care routines to match a dog’s mobility and comfort needs. I’m patient, attentive, and very detail-oriented when it comes to following an owner’s instructions.

Arrival Before your trip, I like to learn as much as possible about your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special care needs. This can be shared however you prefer—through a message, a note left at home, or during a meet and greet. As long as I have clear instructions, I’m confident stepping in and keeping your pet comfortable. If you’re not home when I arrive, I’m happy to use whatever access method you prefer, whether that’s a door code, lockbox, or key. ⸻ During My Stay When staying in a client’s home, my priority is to keep everything feeling familiar and low-stress for your pet. I follow their regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and bedtime habits. I have lifelong experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including senior pets. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, adjusting activity levels, and providing extra patience and care when needed. Whether your pet is energetic or more relaxed, I tailor my care to match their personality and needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, and affection while also respecting their space. I’m attentive to safety at all times and aim to create a calm, positive environment while you’re away. I’m also happy to send updates and photos as often as you’d like—once a day, multiple times a day, or just check-ins when requested. I adjust communication to whatever makes you most comfortable. ⸻ Departure Before you return, I make sure your home is left exactly as you left it. This includes tidying up any areas I used, washing dishes if needed, and ensuring everything is clean and orderly. If requested, I’m also happy to water plants, collect mail or packages, and leave everything neatly in one place. After I leave, I can send a final update with photos and a quick summary so you feel fully informed and reassured. ⸻ Final Note At the end of the day, my goal is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and as stress-free as possible while you’re away. I take this responsibility seriously and treat both your pet and your home with care and respect.

Schedule
I recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire and commissioned into the U.S. Army as an officer. Before heading to training, I have approximately nine months where my schedule is very flexible and dependable. I currently work with a transportation company for about 1–2 weeks each month, but outside of that my availability is wide open. I’m able to accommodate regular walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I enjoy filling my time caring for pets and helping owners feel at ease while they’re away. Because my schedule is consistent and planned well in advance, I’m reliable, punctual, and easy to communicate with. I’m happy to discuss recurring care, extended stays, or last-minute needs whenever possible.
