I live in a detached cottage just outside of Bury Saint Edmunds . My house has a dog safe fully fenced garden and I live on a quiet lane with countryside walks available from my door and forest walks a short drive away.

Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements or has any specific behaviours I need know about. I am sorry but I am unable to take aggressive or reactive dogs. No females in heat or puppies under 1 year old. House trained dogs only and please check to ensure your dog doesn’t have a flea infestation .
A typical day
Daily morning and evening countryside walks,in the hotter months I tend to walk early morning and late evening as it is a more comfortable time for dogs. Fun and play in the garden throughout the day so your dog won’t get bored. I can also carry on your training routine as much as possible to help reinforce your hard work if required. All dogs kept on leads unless they have a positive recall and or this is requested by their owners.

I live in the bury saint Edmunds, Suffolk area and I have been around family dogs since I was a boy and have owned and cared for my own dogs for over 40 years taking them from a puppy into their old age. I can offer a loving home from home dog care service with plenty of walks, and playtime in the garden . I genuinely only accept dogs from a single household at a time as I am not interested in taking on multiple pets just to make more money. Your dogs wellbeing is as important to me as my own dog and will never be left home alone or unsupervised . I am semi- retired very active and at home full time so am able to offer a good level of safe and secure care for all ages and breeds of dogs, my partner also loves dogs and as she mostly works from home she is around should I need a hand with anything like walking dogs separately. Having used boarding and day care myself with mixed success I fully understand how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone new especially if they board severe dogs at the same time , but rest assured I am fully experienced and very capable of caring for and handling dogs. I have my own very placid and friendly pointer, who is always very happy to meet new friends and share countryside walks as I am very lucky to be surrounded by fields and country walks straight from my door amd have no need to drive the dogs anywhere. I do like to take the dogs to the forest where it is cooler on those very hot days, this is a ten minute drive in a safe vehicle fitted with a steel dog guard. Whilst in my care you will receive daily photo/ video updates so you can see your dog having fun and exercise and of course plenty of love and belly rubs. If you leave me a copy of your dogs normal routine I can follow it which will help me provide a true home from home experience for your dog to enjoy, please try to bring a favourite toy or treats along to help with your dog settle in and feel more at home. I can accommodate your dogs bed and also a crate if that is what they are used to. Elfie had a lovely time with LLoyd and Hudson. Lloyd sent regular pupdates with images. It was lovely to see them out and about and resting after his long country walks.
