Coaxing and Caring
My goal is to meet each pet where they are comfortable. I follow sitting instructions to the letter and trust that you know your pet best. I’m happy to share training tips if you ask. I’m especially good with nervous and shy animals. I’ve built trusting relationships with all of my rescued pets, including 2 dogs with separation anxiety and a stubborn tom cat. My special interest is designing and building cat furniture and shelves. Before adopting our newest dog, I created a network of high shelves to give the cats room to play. Our cats and dog are pretty comfortable together now, but having separate spaces really helped them get there!

Liza was wonderful! She followed our instructions perfectly (including giving meds to our nervous kitty and grooming our sassy kitty) - probably made easier because she asked lots of great questions and took notes during our meet and greet (definite pro!). Our house was in perfect shape and our kitties were happy and relaxed when we got back. Liza was communicative and thoughtful and we were totally confident that our home and pets were in good hands. AND she took amazing pics :)

We cannot say enough good things about Liza. She is truly exceptional, especially when it comes to senior and medically complex dogs. We have three dogs, all with different needs, and one who requires extra medical care and close monitoring. From day one, Liza handled everything with total confidence, calm, and genuine compassion. Medications were given perfectly, routines were followed to a T, and we always felt like our dogs were not just “watched,” but deeply cared for. What stood out most was her intuition and communication. She noticed small details, proactively checked in, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It’s incredibly rare to find someone you trust fully with multiple dogs — especially when medical needs are involved — and Liza is that person. If you have multiple dogs, senior dogs, or pets with health issues, look no further. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and will absolutely be using her again. Highly, highly recommend.

I work freelance and my schedule is pretty flexible. I am available for check in’s and home stays for cats, dogs, and other small animals.
