Ratings and reviews
If there were an option to put zero stars, I would. How to write a review when your heart is so very heavy, and your mind is numb? How does one do that? How do I convey my sadness---my anger---my shock at knowing I don't have my precious little dachshund any longer? ---That he died a horrible, painful, frightening death, all alone, outside in the midday heat while the person, you, Liza P., whom I entrusted to protect him went shopping!! SHOPPING!! Why could you not leave him inside, comfortable, with the air conditioning?? When we met I emphasized the absolute necessity for him to remain cool and calm---that the main reason for getting a dog sitter was to keep him safe and cool as the air conditioning was out in our home, and I wanted him to be comfortable and lower his distress. I brought his bed, and his homemade food, and his vitamins. I explained how he liked to drink water regularly, and to please make sure water was available to him. When I brought him into your home it was dark and cool, and I was happy with that. I missed the signs that there was something off. Given as old as I am, I should have tuned in to my instincts more. I should have grabbed my sweet little guy and left. I didn't, and now he is gone. I will regret this decision for all of my remaining days. You assuranced me that Oliver would be inside, cool and safe. When your husband said he would take Oliver out for a walk, you didn't think that was a good idea. I said Oliver loved sniff walks and that an outdoor walk would be fine in the evening once it became cool. I mistakenly let myself believe that you sincerely cared!! Why oh why oh why did you leave that poor sweet dog out in the heat in the middle of the day while you went shopping?!! When your husband met me at our vets with Oliver's lifeless, and told me what you had done, I was in total disbelief----who does something like that?!! In the middle of a heatwave, in the middle of the day, you left Oliver outside to die a sad, lonely, painful, horrible death. THIS DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN!!! I will live with this sadness for the rest of my life. That little dog might have been older, but he was doing fine. All he needed from you was a little love and attention and to be kept cool so he could rest. I trusted you, and it turned out to be the worst mistake I have EVER made in my 68 years on this planet!! Oliver still had alot of life left in him---A LIFE THAT YOU CUT SHORT!!! You are a horrible, heartless, selfish person. If you have any conscience at all you will pause and think about the fact that my sweet, kind, curious, loving little dog had his life shortened unnecessarily due to your selfishness. Look up what a dog experiences when they die from heat exposure. IT IS HORRIFIC!!! I fear for anyone placing their pet in your "care" in the future.

Liza was amazing and very accommodating to our travel schedule. Sincerely think our dog had a great time hanging with her and her family.

Liza was so good with our dog! It was the first time we ever had him stay with someone outside of family for the weekend and she put us at easy so quickly! Her and her husband are lovely and kind and so good with dogs.

Liza was amazing she took great care of our boys while we were away on vacation. She made us feel comfortable right away and did a good job communicating we would definitely book her again in the future.

As a first timer using Rover, I was very happy that I found Liza to watch my dog. I had originally thought of boarding him at a pet resort but thought a rover pet sitter would be better and turned out to be the right choice. Liza was very responsive and our meet and greet went very well. I could tell she really loves dogs and felt comfortable that her dog would be good company for my dog. She also has a great outdoor area for the dogs and nice community for them to walk. The updates and pictures daily were very welcomed and she was quick to reassure me that my dog was doing ok. Plus the drop off and pick up was very easy.

Liza and Cary cared for our little Puccini like she was their own doggy, and we know that we'll bring P to them again whenever we need to be away! What an important, comforting part of having a dog that is... right?
