We take safety measures very seriously. We are very attentive with the dogs and communicative with you, and our pet care business is a fully insured LLC. In the car, your dog will be clipped in. As small dog owners, we understand the special attention and care that small dogs require. We ensure they are comfortable and safe in all conditions. Our home is equipped with a fireplace and heating pad to keep them warm during colder months and air conditioning to maintain a cool environment in the summer. We are happy to dress your dog in any clothing, coats or pajamas you provide and have a few extra sets on hand if needed. :) For the dogs' safety, we always keep them on a leash while outdoors in unfenced in areas, protecting them from any potential wildlife encounters. Additionally, we've made our home as accessible as possible for our small furry friends, including a little dog staircase to help them climb onto our furniture with ease.

Information Liza & Dillon F. would like to know about your pet
We do not take high shedding dogs. We are unable to take on puppies younger than seven months. As our dog Scootie is seven pounds, for his safety and that of our other tiny friends that come we cannot take on big dogs for at-home stays.
A typical day
At home, we enjoy the company of other dog friends and take breaks to cuddle! We have toys and cozy beds and play relaxing music during nap time.

Pet care experience
A sleepover with Scootie means cozy, personalized care in a calm home setting. Your dog will enjoy playtime, snuggles, and relaxed daily rhythms, whether that includes a refreshing walk along the Back Shore or curling up by the fireplace. Days unfold at a natural pace, with a balance of companionship, rest, and gentle activity tailored to each dog’s needs and personality. With a small, carefully matched group, each dog is able to feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home. Each stay is designed to feel like a peaceful home-away-from-home experience, where your dog is cared for with the same attention and warmth as if they were our own. Liza, the founder of Scootie's Petcare, has eleven years of professional dog walking experience. She is a "High Demand Top Pet Caregiver" on the Wag app, with over 200 services completed and a 5-star rating. Liza has completed rigorous dog boot camp training and is skilled in dog training principles. Her ability to plan and adapt, honed through her former work as an art teacher, ensures that each pet receives personalized, attentive care. Dillon is an integral member of Scootie's, working remotely and lending a helping hand with drop offs, pick ups, walks, and everything else. He's a favorite among the girl dogs, who all seem to have a crush on him! With a degree in psychology, Dillon excels at understanding dog behavior. He ensures that every dog receives the highest level of attention and love. Dogs naturally flock to him, and his warmth makes a lasting impression on both pets and their owners. Meet Scootie, the heart and soul of Scootie's Petcare. He’s the little boss who keeps all the dogs in line, ensuring a harmonious and fun environment. Scootie brings joy to every pet’s stay with his wagging tail and playful spirit. His favorite activities are lounging by the fire, dog cartoons, playing with his toys and chasing a friend. Oh, and “singing” with his Dad. Scootie loves the sand but finds the ocean too cold for his little paws.
Reviews

Liza provided outstanding care for my dog Toto during my time away. She was highly communicative, and demonstrated a genuine commitment to my pet’s well-being. I especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which showed how at ease and happy Toto was during his stay. Upon returning home, I found my dog happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. I would confidently recommend Liza to anyone seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and professional pet care provider.

I highly recommend Liza for doggie care. My little Chihuahua Dachshund, Chico was very well taken care of for the day while I was at work. Although Chico was a little shy, he was very comfortable spending the day with Liza and that is very important for me to know. Liza sent several photos of Chico to me during the day which was very comforting for me. I look forward to having Liza take care of Chico!

Liza demonstrates her experience and professionalism throughout this process, thus reassuring me that I was leaving my dog, Wrigley, in good hands. Liza responds quickly and is very accommodating. It is a great fit for Wrigley, who needs someone to regularly watch her and who can ease her separation anxiety while I am at work. 100% would recommend!

Great care provider! My dog received love, play, and companionship while we were away. Very pleased!
