I do not personally board pets, but prefer to keep them in their homes, where they're most comfortable. I think this helps ensure that they have the best experience possible while you're away.

Information Liz M. would like to know about your pet

If your dog has any special needs or medications, how they are socially, and if there's anything that triggers their fears. Of course, I always ask where their sweet scratch spot is!

A typical day

I love taking dogs to places where they get to smell all the new smells! I think parks are great, or any place with grass so they can roll around. I'm mindful of when a dog is more skittish, or aggressive, to steer clear of other dogs we see along the way.

Great with anxious + nervous dogs!

Pet care experience

Hi there! I've lived with and taken care of dogs for several years in the past. For past two and a half years, I helped my partner take care of Bobby, a VERY anxious 60 lb Shepherd mix, who needed medication, loved to give lots of licks, and calmed down specifically to jazz music. Ollie was a small (40 lb) shepherd mix, with a high prey drive -- while she'd try to get pets from anyone and everyone, we'd usually avoid other dogs on walks so she wouldn't get leash aggressive. Sadly, I've since moved away and can't have a dog in my current apartment, so I'd love to spend time with yours! I promise I'll be like the loving dog auntie your pet has always wanted. I'm patient, caring and responsible, and I'll do my absolute best to keep you and your pet happy and taken care of! I'm also covid safe, having been vaccinated and double boosted. Please do let me know if you have any special needs, requests, or questions at all! I am a remote worker with a very flexible schedule, and will be working from home with your pets :) I always follow whatever rules and procedures you may have for your pet, and always make sure to be respectful of your home as well!

Liz is amazing and I can’t recommend her enough!! She is very conscientious and sent me lots of updates. She was very patient with all the pets and took things at their pace. By the end of her stay, they all loved her and enjoyed her company. She was very respectful of the house and even went above and beyond to clean everything for when we got back. I felt reassured and knew that everyone was in good hands. I will definitely reach out to her for future trips!!

Liz did a great job with my dog, Moira! Moira can be slow to adjust to new people, but Liz earned her trust quickly and sent me cute picture updates throughout the week. Liz also left my house cleaner than she found it and took care of the sidewalks with the surprise snowstorm. Thanks so much!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wish I could give Liz more than 5 stars! Our high-maintenance dog got sick just a few days before an international trip and couldn’t go to his regular daycare. Liz stepped in and stayed at our place the whole time, and our dogs absolutely adored her. She kept us updated constantly, went out of her way to make sure they were comfortable, and was especially patient with my little one who takes time to warm up to new people. If you’re looking for someone reliable to stay for an extended period or handle multiple dogs, Liz is the perfect choice. She went above and beyond to care for both our dogs and our needs—we couldn’t have asked for better!

Liz was terrific! We totally recommend her. Our Honey is a senior dog and almost deaf. Since moving to a condo she has had a lot of separation anxiety. We shared all of our concerns with Liz. She was very empathetic and understanding of the extra care it would take to keep Honey safe, healthy and happy. She even came over to meet us before commiting to the reservation. She sent us occasional updates and photos which eased our anxiety. Liz is calm, caring and confident. We trust her and will definitely invite her back when we need someone to take care of Honey while we are away.
