Tail-Wagging Peace of Mind

What sets me apart from other sitters is the depth of experience I bring, not just in dog sitting, but in truly understanding dogs as individuals. Before joining Rover, I spent the last 13 years running my own business, a full-service pet care business where I provided boarding, grooming, training, and retail support for hundreds of dogs and their families. The reviews from my clients consistently highlighted my calm, intuitive approach, my attention to detail, and the way I made both dogs and humans feel safe and supported. I don’t just check in, I connect. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or a longer stay, I tailor each visit to your dog’s personality, energy level, and emotional needs. I notice the little things: how your dog greets me, how they settle, what makes them feel most at ease. I bring the same thoughtful care I offer my own dogs, where clients often said their dogs came home better behaved, more relaxed, and genuinely happy. I also bring a trainer’s mindset to every interaction. That means I reinforce good habits, gently redirect unwanted behaviors, and help your dog feel confident and secure, even when you're away. My goal is always to make your dog’s day better and your time apart worry free.

Liz did an amazing job with our four dogs when she dog sat for us! She is very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience with dogs. We felt incredibly comfortable leaving her with them overnight. She sent pictures and they were just happy as could be while we were gone. She came highly recommended from somebody that I know and trust really well and we will absolutely use her again!

Liz was so great with my rowdy golden retrievers! She gave lots of updates and took great care of them. I was not worried at all being away, and she took great care of the animals and my place.

I have trusted Liz Day with all of my pets (my babies) for 20 years! She has that special knack with animals, something you can’t explain. She has multiple certifications in dog behavior, dog training, and has boarded dogs for many years. I completely trust Liz, she listens, find positive ways to help with bad behavior, teaching both the pet and the pet parent to make a successful relationship. I would completely recommend her to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares and has a connection with animals.

Liz is my go-to person for watching my three dogs. I absolutely trust her more than anyone else. She knows each of them—their personalities, their likes/dislikes, their normal demeanor, their health issues. She has watched my dogs countless times over the years and I always travel with a sense of peace, knowing they are in excellent, professional care. I know firsthand that Liz is very good at communicating and genuinely has a heart for animals. My dogs LOVE Liz and so do I!!!

Before I care for your pet, I like to know what makes them feel safe, happy, and understood. Helpful things include their feeding and potty routine, any medications, favorite toys, and how they respond to new people or situations. I also appreciate knowing what comforts them if they get anxious, and any habits or training you’re working on. I aim to keep things calm, consistent, and tailored to your dog’s unique personality. I bring years of experience where I cared for hundreds of dogs with all kinds of needs and I treat every visit like it matters. Unfortunately, I am allergic to most cats and will not be able to stay at a house with cats.
