Pet care experience

Your dog's happiness is my priority

I grew up with dogs, mainly collies, on a farm in Ireland, so dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I previously owned a very energetic and playful Springer Spaniel, as well a wonderful Whippet, a rescue adopted when she was around two years old, and it was so rewarding to see her develop into the beautiful soul she was. Both dogs have now sadly passed and I do hope to get another dog at some point. Dogs really make a house a home and their loyalty and unconditional love is quite special, not to mention the individual little quirks that make them so unique and a joy to be around. Whilst I don't have any pets of my own at present, I am happy to look after other dogs and will always treat them with the same care and attention as I would my own. Alongside dog boarding and daycare, I started my own home based dog grooming business at the beginning of 2025 which I am really enjoying. I am fully qualified to iPet Level 3 in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and am trained in Canine First Aid. I manage my time between dog grooming, daycare and boarding and will not overbook so that all dogs in my care will get the care and love that they deserve.

Chicco had a really good first day with Liz. We will be very happy with Liz looking after Chicco any time. She is a lovely lady who knows how to help a dog relax and feel safe in her home. We got reassuring photos and messages during the day so we knew he was fine. Thank you Liz.

Liz and her family were wonderful hosts for Skye. Great communication throughout with lovely photos and updates which helped settle our minds. Skye can be a nervous dog but she was very relaxed with Liz and had everything she needed for a lovely stay. Thank you Liz, highly recommend.

Cooper absolutely loved his stay with Liz and definitely made himself at home. Liz sent lots of updates and photos during Cooper’s stay which was really lovely as this was his first time away from us. When I picked him up I’m not sure he was that bothered about coming home which whilst heartbreaking for me was lovely to see as he was clearly very happy there ☺️

Liz was very welcoming and soon made Ben "feel at home". She texted us to reassure that Ben was ok during his stay. Overall an excellent carer and one we have no hesitation in recommending to others and to using again ourselves.

Our dog Digsy has just spent a week in Liz's lovely home. Liz sent us daily updates so we were reassured that Digsy was being well looked after. Liz is a very caring and competent dog boarder and flexible to the needs of the dog and us as owners. We would definitely send Digsy back and would recommend Liz as a dog boarder.

Schedule

I currently work from home and am fortunate to be flexible enough with my time to walk your dog, give them lots of play time and ensure they feel very much at home. My husband Peter and my stepdaughters (ages 10 and 16) all love dogs so your pet will definitely get lots of affection and attention whilst they are in my care!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
Children 6-12 years old
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a detached house on a quiet private road with a good-sized secure enclosed garden. Your dog will have free rein of the house, provided they are reasonably well behaved, and I am relaxed about allowing them on sofas if they are used to that.

A typical day

I enjoy walking dogs and there are plenty of green spaces, parks and woodland in my local area, so I will be exercising your pet as often as he or she needs. I understand the importance of keeping dogs physically and mentally active and will keep your pet entertained and happy whilst in my care.
