Forever Animal Lover!

Pet care experience

I've always felt a strong bond to animals, and I want to see them get the best possible care they can receive. I have been on Rover for a few years now, and have taken care of a very wide variety of animals; whether it be senior dogs or dogs with special needs, puppies, horses, chickens, bearded dragon lizards, fish, and cats. I take giving your animals the best care (as well as taking care of your home while you are gone) very seriously! It's an honor to be able to do this and I love it! The "why" behind my pricing: I strive to remain affordable but also to take into account that due to working from home, I am able to be present with the animals for the majority of the day (or the whole day!). I am also very clean and put a lot of effort into making sure that the house is clean for you when you get back (or at least how it was left!) and I put a lot of detail and attention into what I'm doing. Pet & house sitting is a fairly simple thing to do in essence, but it does require a lot of care, responsibility, and attention. Even though I'm generally in the house most of the day, I do not necessarily provide 24/7 care - in the sense that usually I will need some time to go out and do other things that can sometimes take 3-4 hours. If you need closer to 24/7 care, I am open to it on a case-by-case basis; just let me know. Lastly, due to balancing multiple jobs, I do not generally accept puppies under 1 year old, but again am open to it on a case-by-case basis :)

Liz is fantastic and girls love her. We felt so comfortable knowing that someone was with our girls at night and available during the day since two of them required medications and additional attention. She was reliable and easy to communicate. She was also flexible and willing to arrive earlier and leave later than what was scheduled due to our flight. Highly recommended her

Liz had great communication while she stayed with our two dogs at our home. Our dogs were calm when we returned, which is a good indicator that they were happy and relaxed while Liz was here! Liz was kind enough to stay ann extra few hours when our flight was delayed. We hope to use Liz again in the future!

Liz was great! Our dog loved her and she took great of our house. She provided regular updates, and went above and beyond her duties while here.

I will always be sure your pet gets plenty of attention and exercise as well (if it is part of their routine and/or they need it, as most do unless they are unable). If I am staying in your home, I am very clean and I often will bring my DSLR camera with me and send you some great pics of your animals during or after the stay! Having needed to hire people off of Rover for my own animals, I know how incredibly valuable it is to have a reliable person that really cares about your animals, and that's what I provide for each of my clients.

Information Liz B. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences! I'd just prefer to know their typical behavior patterns - i.e. what's normal and what isn't for them, what medications they take (if any), what activities they like most or what in general they respond well to.

A typical day

If there are nearby parks we can go there, or if the neighborhood is appropriate for walks we can walk around there as well. We can spend time playing with toys or any other activities that you typically do with your pets.

For pet/house sitting: I work as both a web/graphic designer and a Mental Health Coach during the day but I work from home, so your babies can get all the attention and company they need! For walks and drop-ins: I tend to schedule those outside of working hours just due to potential driving time, but it depends on distance! Some other details about me & my experience: I have been a dog and cat owner all my life, and also have spent most of my life with birds as well (cockatiels and parakeets. And I LOVE parrots). I also had an adorable leopard gecko, Manny, and have volunteered at a cat shelter. Additionally, I am very thorough and detail-oriented, and diligent in following any instructions for their care. I love getting in as much exercise as I can in a day - wherever it be hiking, running, walking to the park or just around the neighborhood - and love to have pups with me!
