1 Star The Records Tell a Very Different Story I am leaving this second review because after my original review, I went back and carefully reviewed the actual Rover records for the walks Liwei provided. What I found was extremely concerning. The issue was not simply that some walks felt shorter than expected. When I compared the walk durations reported on Rover against the actual Rover sign-in and sign-out records, I found a consistent pattern of the reported walk times being longer than the actual recorded times. Across the walks reviewed, the reported duration was overstated with the largest discrepancy being 16 minutes. Liwei is not an honest dogwalker. These aren’t estimates or assumptions about when my dog was actually being walked. The underlying Rover timestamps provide the actual records, and I have provided that documentation to Rover as part of its investigation. What makes this particularly troubling is that I initially gave Liwei the benefit of the doubt. I genuinely appreciated the time he did spend helping with my dog, and I understood that there could be a few minutes of normal transition time involved with getting the keys, getting my dog ready, leaving the building, etc. I raised my concerns respectfully because I was paying for 60-minute walks and expected the service to reflect that. Unfortunately, rather than simply acknowledging my feedback, Liwei subsequently misrepresented what I had said in my profile by claiming that my feedback regarding the heat was different from what I actually communicated. That is especially disappointing because I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt and was not looking to unfairly criticize him. After reviewing the records, however, I no longer view this as a matter of a few minutes of unavoidable transition time. There is a repeated and documented discrepancy between what was reported and what the Rover records actually show. And this is particularly important when you’re dealing with someone’s pet and have been entrusted with access to their home. Trust is the entire foundation of this type of service. If I cannot rely on the walk duration being accurately represented or on my feedback being accurately represented afterward I cannot recommend the person providing the service. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Liwei to pay close attention to the actual timing of their dog’s walks and to carefully review how their feedback is characterized afterward rather than simply taking everything at face value. My original review described my experience. This review is based on what I subsequently found in the records, as well as what I later saw represented on my profile. That distinction matters.

Liwei followed the instructions closely and was very good at communicating. I am very pleased with Liwei taking a good care of my cats!
