Availability

I currently work part-time and study from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m able to adjust my routine to accommodate your pup’s needs, whether that means regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, or simply having someone around for companionship. I’m home much of the day and would love to give your dog plenty of attention while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a ground-floor apartment with a fenced-in backyard, including a dog door that gives pups easy access to the yard when they need it. I love getting outside and exploring the area, and I’d be happy to bring your dog along for a local hike, a neighborhood walk, or some playtime in the yard. I also live with my boyfriend, who works from home and is around for most of the day. He’s always happy to give visiting pets some extra attention and love, but I will be responsible for all of their care and will be their primary caregiver throughout their stay.

Information Liv M. would like to know about your pet

The more I know about your dog ahead of time, the better I can make sure they feel safe and comfortable! I’d love to know if they are nervous around strangers, reactive toward other dogs, comfortable around children, or experience separation anxiety. It’s also helpful to know their typical energy level and exercise needs so I can plan activities that are a good fit for them. Please also let me know about any medications, medical needs, behavioral quirks, or other routines that are important to their care. I’m happy to follow your usual routine and appreciate any information that will help me give your pup the best experience possible!

A typical day

I love starting the morning with a dog walk and a cup of coffee! After a good romp around the neighborhood and some breakfast, I’m happy to adjust the day to whatever your dog enjoys and needs. If your pup loves a big hike, I’d be thrilled to hit the trails together. If they’d rather take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, I’m just as happy to do that. I love getting outside and exploring, but I’m also perfectly content to spend a quiet afternoon relaxing and keeping your dog company.

Pet care experience

I absolutely love dogs, and until recently, I had my own old, grumpy boy who taught me a lot about caring for dogs with unique needs. My family got our first dog when I was 13, and then welcomed another when I was 21. I was very involved in raising our second dog from puppyhood, so I have firsthand experience with the energy, patience, consistency, and supervision that young dogs require. About six years ago, I adopted my own dog from a shelter when he was already 8 years old. He had epilepsy and plenty of his own idiosyncrasies, which gave me experience caring for an older dog with medical needs and a very specific personality. I learned to pay close attention to changes in behavior, recognize when something was “off,” and adapt his care to what made him comfortable and happy. I especially enjoy getting to know each dog's individual personality and routine. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a senior who needs a little extra patience, or somewhere in between, I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away.
