Pet care experience
I Love Animals Very Much! 💕
I have had cats for so many years of my life before having a few dogs and then birds and hamster's added in to our life during the time of having multiple cats. We only have cats now since the year of October 2010 til current times. I'm passionate about working with animals and providing attentive care. I have hands-on experience caring for animals in home settings, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their well-being. Skilled at safely handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments, experienced in cleaning kennels, feeding animals, monitoring their health, able to follow instructions for animal care routines and respond quickly to any issues. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with usually any animal to ensure they are safe and happy, so I think it would make a good fit for your animal to be cared for and looked after.

Qualifications
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I work at a local arena that is near the French Quarter area. I work in the Housekeeping Department, so my schedule can be pretty flexible because I don't work 5 or more days of the week by a rigid schedule of someone else telling me I have to come to work on. I schedule myself for when I am available to work. I usually only work around 1-4 days a week at best. Sometimes there is no event for one or two weeks because of a certain reason. • I am usually working early in the day by 9:00 AM til the afternoon like 3:00 / 4:00 PM. I work later events that have me showing up around 1:00 PM / 2:30 PM before the event starts til the end of the event around 9:00 PM from August during heavy amounts of events going on til April or May during slower amounts of events going on. • Between April / May til August, I am completely available to do anything you need for Boarding, House-Sitting, and Doggy Day Care because I don't really have anything going on except grocery / prescription runs for my mom and possibly me at another store, and with doctor's appointment for me and my mom. **Availability & Visit Times - Westbank** I offer midday drop-in visits usually between 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM daily. This window lets me give each pet full, unrushed attention for feeding, litter, play, and cuddles. If you need a specific time within that window, just ask! I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine. Serving Algiers to Westwego. $10 off your first booking 🐾 The only days I couldn't be available will be three days in usually July when I go out of town to Houma, LA for the days I will have blocked off on here as unavailable. • Once the basketball 🏀 season ends, I don't work again because it slows up very, very much until August once again. I use whatever little bit of money I saved during that time to focus on me and other things. Taking on taking care of other people's pets could be something I could consider doing on days and periods that I ain't working for my other job.

Pets
A typical day
After I get over to the pets I am checking on that day for my Drop-In Visits for dogs, I will be walking them immediately upon arriving with either your leash you have or my own personal leash I have at my house to let them go to the bathroom before I finally start feeding and watering them. After that, playtime and attention giving will be for as much as they can stand to have. If they require more water because of it being too hot, I will then refill it and see if they need to go to the bathroom again just before I leave to head over to the next pet I have to also do a Drop-In Visit on in order to check on them too. • Even for when I will be Boarding your pets at my house, Doggy Day Care at my house, and house-sitting at your house, I will be walking them immediately after I wake up and go to the bathroom myself before I can let them go outside to go to the bathroom. I will have the Puppy Pet Pads around my house in case they can't hold it anymore, so there isn't a mess on the floor. I will then get them fed and watered. After that, we will hang out and relax together until they require something they need to do or receive like water or treats. Me and the dogs or cats could even play together. We could also just spend the day outside in my yard for boarding and doggy day care or your yard if it's me doing house-sitting at your house. • During playing with the cats, we will have strings and ropes that make my cats want to play with it eventually. I try to make them chase me around the room by trying to put a string around my waist to see if they start following me. Usually they don't or at least don't do much other than makes them walk around the room where I am at watching it. I love putting boxes out for the cats because they get such a big kick out of it more than expensive items we buy for them and using a laser pointer around the room to make them intrigued by it and want to chase it all over the place I put it at in the house. • I love using a clicker when it comes to clicker training an animal. If I don't have a clicker, I click my tongue just like the clicker sounds like when training an animal including my own. I have taught a few basic things to my own animals for my cats including kiss 💋 😘 and high five✋🏻🙏🏻 for one of my cats that has a ADHD special needs issue since he was a very young kitten, so I turned his annoying habits into a fun thing instead of a habit that would annoy me. It kinda bonded me and him more because of it. He does it not just by me doing it towards him, but by verbal commands he hears me say.
