Personalized Care = Peace of Mind
UPDATE: I unexpectedly rescued a dog this past week. I never thought I would adopt a dog again after losing Koa, but a puppy showed up at my parents' gate while I was visiting. She was super friendly despite being very skinny, hungry and thirsty. My parents said she had been hanging around and didn't know who she belonged to. I couldn't let her go hungry, so I started feeding her and giving her water, and she gave me lot of cuddles in return. We later found out she had been left behind when a former neighbor had moved for work. He still stopped by every 2-5 days to give her food, but ended up relinquishing her to us. I tried to find her another home, but a week later and I completely fell in love with this little girl. My parents are taking care of her until most of my current bookings are completed, then I'm flying her to Washington in March. So as of March 2025, I will only be able to watch dogs that get along with Hana (Hana loves all people and dogs and even immediately got along with one of my parents' dogs who does not get along with other dogs, because she is so submissive). I'm happy to schedule meet and greets for any existing clients who want their pups to meet Hana ahead of time. I originally bought my house in 2001 because I fell in love with a dog (Shank) I was training at the shelter and my apartment at that time did not allow big dogs. I have been a dog mom for these past 21+ years, until I lost my heart/soul dog (Koa) in June 2022. For more than 2 decades, I have also been entrusted with caring for the dogs of my family and friends. After losing Koa in June, I may never be ready to have another dog of my own. Instead, since leaving my dogs while traveling was always the hardest thing for me, I want to give other pet parents peace of mind when they have to leave their fur babies. I will work with you to develop a personalized schedule based on you and your dog(s) needs and wants. I will only book one household's dog(s) at a time so that I can customize the care for your dog(s) according to what they are used to and need.

This is my second time booking with Lisa and pokie had a very good time with Hana and Lisa, they went to different park and different trail every day, Lisa sent me update every day with a lot of photos so I can assure that my baby was having a good time, I will definitely book with her again

Lisa took wonderful care of our puppy, who has significant health needs. She was absolutely amazing with him, and Leo truly loved her. We’ll definitely be having Leo stay with her again in the future!
Lisa was absolutely incredible! We can not say enough good things about her. Lisa watched our dog who has some issues with new people. It was initially a struggle getting him to warm up but she worked really hard and even did a session with our trainer to get things back on the right foot. Our nervous dog with some fear aggression issues ended up having a great stay with Lisa. We are forever grateful as I think a lot of dog sitters would have given up and told us to come pick him up after the struggles in the first 24 hours. She communicated so well with us through the issues and once things settled she sent daily updates and plenty of pictures. She gave our dog multiple long walks a day at various local parks and it’s obvious she really cares about dogs and prides herself in taking great care of them. If I could give ten stars I would. Lisa is truly an amazing person and dog sitter!

I was so grateful that I could feel confident leaving my dogs with Lisa while I was traveling! Lisa sent detailed daily updates and took my dogs on a couple hikes per day at different local parks. She sent many high quality, adorable photos every day, as if I'd gotten a professional photoshoot of my dogs! She has a lovely home with ample space for the doggies to stay and play. And her dog, Hana, is so sweet, both of my dogs seemed to love playing with her. Highly recommend Lisa & Hana for your dog's next stay!

Lisa took great care of my dog. Lisa is a great communicator, my dog was well taken care of. I'm grateful that Lisa asked for a meet and great, prior to finalizing arrangements. Lisa also has excellent judgement, when it comes to my dog's care. I can't recommend her enough!

I will book with Lisa any chance I get. She is so caring and really goes above and beyond. She provides thoughtful updates and gives my fur baby extra exercise and attention. She is the best!

Schedule
I work from home and have a flexible schedule. When I had dogs of my own, my life revolved around my dogs. As an example, we used to go for a 1-hour trail walk in the morning and either a 1-hour trail walk or 1 hour off-leash park time with their friends. While at home, we would have games of tug or use enrichment toys, like food puzzles or snuffle mats. They had meals twice a day, and as they got older we adjusted their schedules for their supplements and medications. On the weekends we would go for longer walks and/or hiking. If your dog is active, we can plan something similar. If your dog is a couch potato and just likes cuddles, I'm more than happy to accommodate that also, or anywhere in between!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard and a doggie door, but I do not rely on my backyard for exercise for your dog(s). Your dog(s) will have full access to my house and all the furniture, unless there are reasons they shouldn't for their safety (for example, I have a gate that can block stairs since our veterinarian didn't want my dogs walking down the stairs when they got older). Shank lived to 13.5 years and my second dog (Makana) and Koa both lived past 16, so I have a lot of senior dog experience, including giving various supplements and medications, including subcutaneous injections. I am also a big believer in dental care, so I am happy to brush your dog's teeth every day if that is something you do. I am used to taking the dogs I watch off-leash, but I will not take your dog off-leash at off-leash parks unless you specifically want and authorize me to. I have a special interest in photography, especially animals. So I will be taking lots of photos and will provide daily photos and updates.

A typical day
As an example of where we would go for adventures, my dogs liked going to Watershed Park, Mercer Slough, Big Finn Hill Park, St. Edward Park, Kelsey Creek Farm, Wilburton Hill Park, Weowna Park, Shelton View Forest, etc. We also frequented all the off-leash parks in the area...Medina Park, Fairweather Park, Marymoor, Luther Burbank, Edith Moulton and Jasper's Dog Park. For hiking, we would go to Rattlesnake Ledge, Chirico Trail or High School Trail to Poo Poo Point, Twin Falls, Mount Si or various trails on/near Tiger Mountain.
