We love to walk! And dog beaches!
I have a big friendly goldendoodle named Koko who loves company! Koko and I would love to host your dog in our apartment in Capitola! We walk morning, afternoon, and evening every day and would love to take your pup along with us. We live in a pet-friendly apartment where I can care for your dog in my home while you are away. If your dog doesn't do well with other dogs or if your dog attacks cats, we are not the caretakers for you. I live with my 22-year old daughter, who also loves animals. One of us is always home to keep the pets company. Our dog is very sociable, has never fought with another dog, will give a warning growl if he would like his boundaries respected. He does get a bit nervous on a leash when meeting another big male dog for the first time, so we can meet in a neutral place to introduce our dogs where they have room to move around to get to know each other. I grew up an animal person, with lots of time spent with dogs, cats, and horses. During my young adulthood, I traveled too much to have a dog, but now I have put down some roots and the benefit is time and many, many walks with my sweet dog. I would love to care for yours when you are away. Koko and Sasha and I would love it!

Lisa took wonderful care of our elderly doodle, taking her on frequent walks, giving her medication, and generally administering TLC. She supplied us with frequent updates and photos, easing our anxiety over leaving her at this stage in her life.

Schedule
I am currently working a remote schedule and can take the dogs out morning, at lunch time, afternoon, and evening weekdays. Koko gets at least four walks per day -- we typically walk 3 or 4 miles/day but we can modify more or less for your dog. Weekend days are wide open.

A typical day
We can go on long walks in the woods, play fetch and run at dog-friendly beaches, walk on East Cliff Drive, enjoy some great dog parks. You tell me what you think your dog will enjoy -- I'm flexible and both Koko and I love to be outdoors.
