I work from home Thursdays and Fridays and am off on Saturday and Sunday as well. This gives me all day to care for your furry friends, with the ability for me to let them out regularly and to shower them with pets and cuddles. I am willing to dog sit in your home from Monday to Wednesday, but please know I will be in the office for those days, typically for 7-8 hours on a single day.

I am happy to lift or provide assistance to dogs who are unable to use stairs. My own dog, Fergus, had poor vision and was mostly deaf and I'm mindful of ways to help your pups navigate their environment with these challenges. I ask that you provide me with the information for your vet and your preferred plan of care for your dog should something happen to them. I understand if you use in-home security cameras to monitor your pets care, however I ask that you disclose the use of these prior to using my services and I expect they would only be used in common areas.

Please let me know about any special needs your pet has or any specific training you are doing undergoing with your pup! I will do my best to maintain the same consistency. As a nurse I have an understanding of many medical conditions and I am comfortable with providing any type of medication administration.
A typical day
Fun is the name of the game! I try to provide both mental stimulation and physical exercise but am just as happy to laze about on the couch. Depending on your pup I am more than happy to accommodate their needs. I have some mobility challenges so I can't go for long walks and hikes but I'm happy to play or go on short walks.

Hi! My name is Lisa! I am 33 years old and live in the South end of St. Catharines. Dogs have my heart! And a special piece is reserved for rescue dogs. I adopted Alfie in February 2026 and he's been a sweet, wonderful companion ❤️ My little guy, Fergus, passed from old age the previous summer. They have both given me some of the greatest joys in life. I love them both to pieces and can promise I will extend the same love to your pup! I will do my very best to care for your best friend. It's not a job when you love what you do and this absolutely fits the bill. Rest assured your dog will be loved and cared for just like my own. As someone taking a break from fostering dogs I know how important routine and consistency is, and I will work with you to ensure they feel comfortable under my care. And of course I'll keep you updated the whole time! As someone who is also a nurse, I do have general medical knowledge and understanding of many health conditions. I am comfortable with giving oral, topical, or injected medications. Your dog won't be fed any foods that are not explicitly permitted by you as I take allergies and dietary intolerances very seriously! If your dog doesn't get along with other dogs or you're nervous, Alfie can always stay with my parents for that period of time while I am dog-sitting. Please let me know if that is your preference. I can't wait to spend time with your friend ❤️

Lisa puppy sat my two dogs for the first time for one night. She gave detailed updates and photos, which I loved! The dogs seemed to really warm up to her, and I felt really good about having her care for them. I would love to have her watch our dogs again!

We can’t thank Lisa enough for the amazing and very attentive care to our pups while we were away. Stanley and Wanda are a handful and she cared for them with ease and love! We highly recommend Lisa and will definitely be reaching out for our next trip!
