Availability
I work a hybrid job with 2 days a week in Geneva NY and live in Fairport NY. When not working, I am a homebody for sure. I tend to be an early riser and like to walk first thing in the morning. But, I can follow whatever schedule is needed. I tend to walk dogs ALOT, if appropriate, as I believe it is good for them and it is also good for me.

Safety, trust & environment
I will treat your home with respect and take extra care with your dog while in it, always leashing, always a collar on when outside. I am also super careful with things laying around on the floor as you never know....they are dogs! Just a note that I prefer not to sleep with dogs in the bed (allergies), but can accommodate a dog that needs that. I find most dogs that are used to sleeping with their owners are just fine not sleeping with me. I don’t care if they get on your furniture, if you don’t. I also have no problem keeping them off, if that is what you prefer.
Information Lisa R. would like to know about your pet
I do like to know as much as I can. Feeding, potty break needs, sleeping, etc. It is also good to know their personality traits. Chill, excited, clingy, vocal, etc. It is good to know how often they have had a sitter, how they do when you are away. I love to hear the stories about your pupper!
A typical day
I will walk in your neighborhood for sure. I also love to take a dog into the woods or to a dog park, if appropriate. My Lola was a fetcher, so if your pupper fetches, they will find no better fetching partner.

Pet care experience
I've been watching dogs professionally for over a decade and raised my sweet Lola until she passed at age 14 in 2022. She is in many of the photos on my profile, as she loved all the furry friends we hosted. My Rover reviews are mostly based on me sitting in my home from 2010-2022. Rover’s platform is limited, so my profile is a bit of a mix from my old profile (when I watched dogs at my house) and staying with dog's in their home, which I started doing in summer 2023. In 2023, I sold my home and moved in with a dog-loving partner, but we cannot host dogs in our current home. Long story short, I am pivoting to dog/house-sitting as I miss having dogs in my life. I do have some geographical restrictions as of January 2024 as I started a new, hybrid job, in Geneva, NY. The geographical restrictions are now as follows: I work remotely Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and in person, in an office in Geneva, Wednesday and Friday, 9-5, not including commute time. If your dog doesn't need a break, I am happy to stay in your home (anywhere within a 45 minute drive to Geneva) and care for your dog(s). If you live within 20 minutes of the city of Geneva, I can stay in your home with your dog(s) and go home on my lunch hour for a potty break/walk. With notice, I can arrange to work remotely, from your home half-days, so keep that in mind if your dog(s) can be alone at home from 4-6 hours. On weekends (Friday 6pm-Monday 8am), I can care for your dog(s) in your home, anywhere in the greater Rochester area. If you have any questions about my availability, please just ask! Some people have kind neighbors or dog walkers who can let their dogs out midday on the days I am in the office. We can often work out a great schedule for your pet(s). My minimum booking for housesitting is 3 nights. I can also do long-term bookings. I can administer medications and handle dogs that require extra care. It is all about being a calm, assertive and loving pack leader, which I am. I will send daily photo updates or texts or not - whatever you prefer.
Reviews
Lisa has always done a tremendous job with our pups. She loves them and they love her and it shows!

Lisa, once again, did a fabulous job taking care of Scout and our house! It is so nice to not have to worry about anything while away. We can't recommend her enough!

Lisa's the best. I feel so at ease knowing she's with our sweet Daisy while we're away.
Can’t say enough good things about Lisa. She loves our boys and they love her! We have been using Lisa for almost a year now and feel like we struck gold! She went above and beyond this time when one of our boys had some GI issues while we were gone and offered to extend her time at the house if our return flights were delayed. Lisa always communicates well with us too so we aren’t ever anxious when away which makes our human get aways even better!!
