I am semi retired with a flexible schedule. I still work a couple half days a week at a local kennel. Feel free to reach out anytime to discuss short notice options. I work daily with my own dog.

My goal is to treat your pet like its my own. At home we have a well lit safe fenced in yard and a mature standard poodle who is a St John Ambulance therapy dog and very easy going. I own several safe play toys as well as enrichment toys and activity puzzles. Indoors we have extra beds or crate if required. For walks I always have an extra leash, poop bag and I carry a hip bag with a whistle, clicker, and healthy treats.

A typical day
I believe dogs need physical as well as mental stimulation. Whether it be a walk around yours or my neighbourhood, a fun trail walk through the woods or playing fetch. I will customize the activities to suit your dogs needs. I also like to use enrichment toys to keep your dog entertained,

Hello, I am a mature passionate and confident animal lover who strives to make your pets experience while your away the best it can be. Having had dogs all my life, I know how hard it is to leave them for any amount of time, so whether I am simply going in to feed them, walk them, host or stay with them a week it is my goal to make them feel loved and cared for in your absence. I have worked at a kennel where i have acquired hands on experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes. I have received certified training on aggression, behavioural issues as well as delivering special needs/care (i.e. diabetes). I am a non-smoker and respectful of your home. It is my goal to make your experience with me a favourable one. I am also capable of providing customized dog training for puppies and mature dogs. Recently I succesfully fostered a 2 year old Bernese Mountain dog. I was able to train and prepare him for his new forever home.

I've never met anyone who had such a comforting energy with dogs. I worked with Lisa at a doggy kennel/daycare and it never seized to amaze me how she could handle absolutely any dog that she interacted with with grace, ease, confidence, and control. Every dog responded to her in a productive manner and it was quick that she could build lasting bonds with them. Since we have both left that facility, I have made it a priority to keep learning from Lisa when it comes to dogs. She has done a bit of work with my own dog and I hope to keep seeing her in action doing what she loves - working with dogs. From training to general care, she truly has a gift.
Lisa is a wonderful pet sitter who takes excellent care of my girls! Right off the bat when they first met her they were hooked and wouldnt leave her alone. Not only is she amazing with dogs, but she is a cat whisperer as well, all animals are drawn to her! She is very warm and friendly and was great with them! When I came home after a week away my girls were relaxed and happy.
