Pet care experience

Lifelong Animal Lover, Focused Care

Throughout my life, I've owned/cared for a range of family pets--5 dogs, 2 cats, guinea pigs, hamsters and mice. As an foster and volunteer for the Austin Humane Society, Dallas Pets Alive, and the SPCA, I have cared for animals ranging from newborn litters to abandoned seniors, and volunteered at two therapeutic horse ranches... helping ensure the calm, steady relationships between horse and rider. This deep, practical experience means I understand animal behavior, recognize when a pet needs space or comfort, and prioritize their safety above all else. What truly sets me apart is my ability to offer your pet my undivided attention and a calm, stable environment. Because I am retired, I do not have the distractions of a full-time job or a busy household. My day revolves around ensuring your pet feels safe, secure, and loved. I live in a highly walkable, vibrant neighborhood that is perfect for daily strolls. In my quiet townhome, your pet will enjoy a small and front yard, a large rooftop, a peaceful routine, and plenty of companionship so you may enjoy total peace of mind while you are away.

I am happy to recommend Lisa as a member of the Rover team! She has watched my dog Gracie many times over the past several years and I have never worried about her while she is in Lisa’s care. As a pet parent, that feeling of security is worth its weight in gold. I know Lisa to be a warm and compassionate pet sitter, giving walks, hugs, treats and play time freely and frequently. Whether you have a young pup or a senior dog like mine, you’ll be glad you had Lisa care for your fur baby!

I met Lisa when I adopted my cat a few years ago. Lisa found Scout in her neighborhood and continued to foster her through a local shelter. Lisa's heart for animals is so apparent when you meet her and she is an amazing caretaker of pets. I've relied on Lisa to watch Scout when I go out of town for longer periods of time and I know she's in the best hands! I always receive pictures of Scout getting so much love and affection. I'm so grateful for Lisa for helping Scout and I find each other and being a continued source of support! I can recommend her as a pet sitter enough!

Lisa has watched our cockapoo in her home numerous times. We have always felt very confident leaving our dog in her care as she takes care of him as if he’s her own. Whatever schedule he is on or food/meds he needs, Lisa handles everything flawlessly. We are extremely grateful to be able to leave our dog in her very capable hands.

Lisa and I met at the Farmer's Market when I was walking my dog around and she expressed how much she loved to keep pets for her friends. Halle liked her instantly. We tested out the sitting with a couple of lunch time visits (I have a 20lb Terrier with 1Mlbs of energy) and Halle loved her. Earlier this year Halle stayed with Lisa while we went to a wedding for three nights. She kept Halle again last week while we attended an out of state graduation. In all cases, she came home super happy! After all of these encounters, Halle loves Lisa. We can't walk by her condo without Halle barking and wanting her to come out....it's so cute. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone seeking a loving, caring pet sitter! Shane
