Pet care experience

The Dog Bark Inn

Moved to Florida in June 2026. Currently work 4 days a week for a veterinary clinic. My backup person (in the event something happens to me) is a vet tech and can also help in the event of an emergency. In 2014 I realized my passion was helping animals. Which has brought me to rover. In Connecticut i had a pet sitting business but that was before covid. As a teen I worked at my Uncle's pet shop which had a variety of animals. Your dog is your baby and will be spoiled when I visit. I also have previous experience working at a dog kennel & at a dog daycare. Both of which help me to see how much dogs thrive in a home environment with personalized care. I’ve volunteered for a dog rescue as a foster parent as well as assisted at events. I send pictures daily unless you request otherwise. Thank you for your time in reviewing my profile. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you would like to schedule a meet & greet or even a phone call just let me know the best times that you are available. I'll include best dates/times in my response to help speed up the process. References are available upon request.

Safety, trust & environment

I am now able to offer boarding services. A meet and greet must be scheduled prior to boarding. I have a yorkshire terrier rescue pup who needs to meet her friends prior to boarding together. This helps all the pets become accustomed to eachother. I recently adopted a kitten that was brought into the clinic I work at. She was found in the road. She has been checked and will get vaccinated once she is of age. The doctor estimated shes only a month old, a July 5th kitten.

Lisa goes above and beyond! She is easy to communicate with and very accommodating of my fluctuating schedule. She is amazing with my 100lb Rottweiler, is understanding of her nuances, and genuinely took the time to listen to everything I had to say on our initial meet and greet. She is incredibly respectful of my home; I couldn’t ask for more!

Thank you so much Lisa for all you did for Willie while we were away. He had a chance to walk with other doggies multiple times each day and his pictures showed how much he loved it! We felt great being away with you in charge of him. Thanks again, Peggy & Mike

Must know:: Has he/she received any vaccinations? I require copies of vaccinations. While rabies is required by law all other vaccines are recommended. ( Bordetella, Distemper (Dhpp), Leptospirosis are the core vaccines I recommend) Is he/she crate trained? Sleeping preferences? Are there any allergies? medications? Does anything scare him/her ? i.e. thunder, loud music, hats…etc
