Pet care experience

Flexibility for you, fun for them!

I’ve been surrounded by loving, goofy dogs and an endless amount of fur my entire life. I’ve grown up with a golden retriever and a golden retriever/GSD mix, and am now the proud Auntie to two golden-retrievers and a golden retriever/black lab mix. I also have extensive experience pet sitting for my family and our family friends, successfully caring for both large and small breeds. I can wrangle pups with boundless energy, manage medication regimens, and provide a calm environment for those that need a little extra attention or time to warm up to someone new. Goldens, schnauzers, labs, pits, shih tzus…all are welcome to join the fun! Trusting me with your pet is a privilege I hope to earn, by ensuring the following when you book with me: -Consistent communication-coordinating appointments, any hiccups, and of course pictures of your pets having the best time upon request! -Reliability with appointments, and prompt notification of any conflicts or emergencies that may arise which would impact your appointment. -Adherence to your specific care routine for your pup-think crating when alone, using certain leads/harnesses on walks, providing medication as needed, etc. -Patience with pets as they get used to a new person in their environment, both with me and being conscientious of your pet’s boundaries during walks through the neighborhood. Is your pup not a social butterfly and prefers a wider personal bubble? No problem! My top priority is ensuring that your pet is safe, has their needs met, and is able to relax and just have fun being a dog! I want you to have peace of mind that your best friend is being taken care of, so you can enjoy the extra freedom and flexibility you need in your schedule.

Safety, trust & environment

I will treat your pet like family while out on walks in the neighborhood or while caring for them in your home. My goal is to always make sure your pets are comfortable, relaxed, and having a great time when I'm interacting with them. I'm familiar with dogs from puppyhood to senior status, and am able to adjust my care to their needs. -Drop ins: I am respectful of my clients' homes and yards, leaving them just as clean and secure as they were when I arrived. I ensure I follow any reasonable care requests that help keep your pet in their routine. -Walks/outdoor time: Confident dog-walker who feels comfortable walking both small and larger dog breeds. I am cautious to make sure passersby do not approach, especially with other animals, unless it is permitted by the owner and the dog is comfortable. Keeps dogs on-leash unless in a fenced in backyard.

Our dog Java loves to go on walks with Lisa. She truly loves animals and they love her back. When we tell our dog Java that Lisa is coming to take him for a walk he sits at the door with his tail wagging. We also appreciate the fact that she arrives on time. Lisa is very friendly and will love your pet as if it were own.

Lisa is my sister so I know her very well, and I can tell you this: she LOVES dogs! Having watched her take care of our dogs first-hand growing up I can assure you that she will take the utmost care of your dog. Lisa has taken care of my dog who is a Black Lab/Golden Retriever mix with ENDLESS energy and not only tired him out and gave him a super fun day, but she had a blast doing it! Seriously, don't hesitate to reach out to Lisa for your dog care needs.

Lisa is a dog lover through and through. She grew up with large breed dogs and deeply understands dog behavior and connects with them on a deep level. Lisa also has a history of being a go-to dog sitter for many family friends who had dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and medical needs. My current dog insists on giving her a hug every time he sees his favorite Auntie and is completely smitten with her as she is with him. Lisa is a compassionate and trustworthy dog lover and I cannot recommend her enough!

Schedule

In terms of my schedule, I work full time, but I have more flexibility in the evenings. I’m your gal if you work second shift, have a hard time making it home in between shuttling kids between after-school sports and activities, or are looking to adventure out a bit more on a weekend.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Lisa can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
Let me know if your pet needs any special accommodations. Additionally, I would appreciate knowing if your pet has any triggers that may make them uncomfortable during an interaction (i.e. resource sharing, proximity to other pets/people, storms, etc.)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
