Pet care experience

8 Years of Professional Experience!

Hello, I'm Lisa, professional dog-cuddler and cat-whisperer! With over 8 years of animal handling experience, I make high-quality pet care easy! Take the stress out of leaving your pet at the kennel by booking with a responsible professional, who will make sure your pet's needs are met and communicate with you every step of the way. My experience speaks for my love of animals; I've volunteered as a doggie playgroup coordinator at an animal shelter, cared for barn animals at a farm and a zoo, fostered and rehabilitated under-socialized cats, worked at a doggie daycare and boarding facility, was a vet assistant and kennel crew at a vet here in Raleigh, and have been a Rover sitter for about 5 years now and own my own pet care business outside of Rover... ask me about it! Through my work I've learned so much about animal behavior, handling large groups of dogs, and making friends with scared and nervous dogs and cats. Being a pet sitter is much more than just liking animals, but about understanding your pet's needs and boundaries and coming to a mutual understanding. Not every dog or cat likes to be pet or is comfortable in new situations, and that's okay. I work with your pet to overcome any fears or issues they may have. I provide flexible and communicative service. I am quick to respond via text message, send daily picture updates, have a flexible cancellation policy, am usually available on short notice, and offer multiple dog and cat discounts. I provide premium pet care without breaking the bank. Read my reviews if you're not convinced yet, I have had hundreds of happy pets and owners throughout the years. Hit the message button to start a conversation and find your pet's new best friend!

Lisa did a wonderful job taking care of our dog who needed medications, oral, topical and medicated shampoo twice a week. Lisa’s extensive background caring for pets in many environments helped us feel reassured. Not only did she do a great job handling meds but she was also a good communicator, sending photos and updates over our 10 day trip. Most importantly, our anxious pup was clearly happy and relaxed! I highly recommend Lisa.

Lisa watched our dogs 2 weekends in a row and was amazing each time! She communicated how they were doing along the way, sent pictures, and took such good care of our boys.

What type of dog and how old? Does your dog prefer to laze around on the couch or do they need to be as active as possible? Are there any behavioral issues I should know about (leash pulling, food or toy protective, needs work on pottytraining, separation anxiety, etc). Are they on any medication?
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
