I am fully retired and spend my days caring for your pets. Rarely will your important pet be left alone, if at all. I used Rover with my senior dog, Tucker, for over 5 years and met some wonderful people. It was a relief to me when I traveled, knowing my best friend was also enjoying his time in a safe, loving home. Now I meet new animal friends every week, and it feeds my soul and theirs.

Your fur baby will have a dedicated sleeping space, feeding space, and unlimited access to our yard, depending on your needs. Full access to the entire house. I encourage you to bring toys, pet beds, crates, and any other items that will make your cherished pet comfortable. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. Note: we have an unfenced yard but use sound/ vibration to alert your pup if s/he is trying to escape. No electricity involved, just moderate stimulation. Most dogs learn the boundaries very quickly and without any discomfort.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs, ie, feeding, bathroom issues, limited mobility, or needs specific medication. Happy to accommodate all of the above - we just want to make sure it is well communicated and we have a plan set in advance.
A typical day
We have a 4-mile loop around the Lake which is great for those younger active dogs. In addition, there are miles of golf cart paths that we can explore together in the early mornings. There is a dog park with a pond, but we only go there after we know the dog well. Lots of parks to explore and nature to watch (deer, squirrels, birds, etc.) in my backyard!

Pet care experience
I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! As an active retiree, I don't have any pets currently, and the house is empty and waiting for my next furry friend! I've cared for everything from dachshunds to a Bernese Mountain Dog. I love cats, but I want to watch them in your home, not mine. Happy to house-sit, work overnight shifts, and care for senior dogs and puppies. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard.

Lisa took such great care of my German Shepherd while I was out of town. She provided updates and photos so I didn't worry while I was gone.
Lisa is delightful! My German Shepherd absolutely loves her. Lisa took such great care of him and sent me a few pictures throughout the day so I didn't have to worry about him.
Lisa was great! She was able to help us out with our son's two dogs on short notice while his family was traveling!! She kept us in touch with regular updates and sent daily photos, which our son and daughter-in-law so appreciated. We will defiantly ask Lisa if she is available for our dog whenever the need arises!!
