Pet care fits naturally into my daily life and routine, as dogs are already a big part of my world. I structure my days around dog care, walks and companionship, and I’m setting my schedule on Rover to ensure I can give each dog proper, unhurried attention rather than fitting them in around other commitments. During the day I focus on dog walking, drop-ins and companionship, and I also have flexibility for longer sits and regular weekly bookings. I carefully limit how many dogs I take on at one time so every dog receives calm, consistent care, individual walks where needed, and plenty of one to one attention. As I already care for my own senior dog, Bon Bon, my routine is naturally suited to dogs who may need a quieter environment, gentle walks and a relaxed, reassuring presence. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze into my week it is a planned and central part of my everyday routine, allowing me to provide reliable, loving and consistent care for every dog I look after.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide care in your own home and out on walks, so your dog can stay relaxed in their familiar environment and keep to their normal routine. I always follow your instructions closely, including feeding, walking style, routines, medication if needed, and any training or behaviour guidance. I take time to build trust with each dog, using calm, positive handling and lots of reassurance, especially for nervous or senior dogs. For walks, I tailor them to your dog’s age, energy level and needs, from gentle, sniffy strolls for older dogs to more active walks for younger, energetic pups. Safety is always my priority, and with my Canine First Aid training and full DBS check, you can feel confident your dog is in responsible, capable hands. Although I have dogs of my own, I do not offer care in my home, all services are carried out in your home and on your dog’s usual walking routes, giving them consistent care and attention.

Information Lisa Kathryn H. would like to know about your pet

It’s really important for me to know your dog’s routine, personality and any special requirements before we start. I ask about things like: Any medical conditions, injuries or mobility issues Behaviour around other dogs, people and children Recall and lead behaviour Any fears (for example traffic, loud noises, bikes or other dogs) Feeding times and any dietary needs If they have separation anxiety or need extra reassurance What they enjoy most, gentle walks, sniffing, play or quiet time This helps me tailor each walk or visit to suit your dog properly and make sure they feel safe, relaxed and happy while they’re with me.

A typical day

A typical day with me is calm, structured and centred around the dog’s individual needs. I start by checking in with each pet and making sure they are settled, comfortable and happy before heading out. For walks, I take dogs on pre-vetted woodland and countryside routes around the Northampton and Daventry area, places I already use regularly and know well. I keep groups small and always walk at a pace that suits the dog, whether they enjoy a steady potter or a more energetic adventure. Throughout the day I make sure pets have fresh water, rest breaks, plenty of reassurance and lots of gentle attention. focus on simple, enriching activities that dogs genuinely enjoy rather than anything overwhelming. This includes relaxed woodland sniff walks, gentle exploration time, short confidence-building games, and calm one-to-one interaction for dogs who prefer quieter company. For more playful dogs, I include light games such as recall practice, hide and seek style scent games and gentle play, while making sure everything stays safe and stress free. Most of all, I aim to give each dog the right balance of adventure, mental stimulation and calm companionship so they return home happy, relaxed and content.

Pet care experience

I’m a devoted dog mum to my beautiful 13 year old Chestie (Chihuahua x Westie) called Bon Bon. Doggies are my absolute world. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have over 30 years hands on experience caring for my own dogs and family dogs, from tiny puppies right through to gentle senior companions. I understand that every dog is different, in personality, routine, confidence and care needs, and I take the time to get to know them properly. I’m fully DBS checked and have completed my Canine First Aid training, so your dog will always be in safe, calm and capable hands. I’m especially confident with Puppies – patience, routine building and positive handling. Senior dogs – slower walks, gentle care, comfort, reassurance and medication awareness I treat every dog as if they were my own. From personal experience, I know how important it is to feel completely at ease when leaving your dog with someone, and I promise your dog baby will receive genuine love, attention, cuddles, enrichment and a peaceful, safe environment. Your dog won’t just be looked after… they will be extremely well cared for. 💚

Lisa has looked after our dog Margot on several occasions - dropping in to see her when we have been out for long periods. This has sometimes been at short notice, which has been much appreciated. Lisa gives great updates, lots of notes and pictures and communication is always quick and easy. Margot loves Lisa and always has a great time. Would highly recommend Lisa to anyone!

Lisa absolutely adores our dogs. She puts their needs above her own and is dedicated to providing the service to others pets that she would want to receive for hers. Saying this, she respects that you care for your pet in your way and follows all the guidelines and instructions that I give her about my dogs. Ours has an allergy to different foods and Lisa got him hypoallergenic treats that are his very own! Lisa always turns up on time with a smile, a cheery conversation and lots of patience. She gives fuss and doggy cuddles readily and takes them for brilliant long walks. She makes the effort to try and dry them off before she returns them but ours, being mud and water fans, make that an almost impossible task! Thinking about it, I think our dogs might like her more than us! Do I need to worry? What a gorgeous person she is!

Lisa is amazing, she loves our little Dexter boy. She is just brilliant, genuinely responsible, kind and trustworthy pet caregiver. She treats every dog as if they were her own, always putting safety, comfort and happiness first. Her calm nature, canine first aid training and love of gentle woodland adventures make her an absolutely wonderful choice for any pet parent.
