Caring, experienced ER/ICU vet tech
Hello! My life is dedicated to animals as I work in the veterinary field as a registered ER/ICU tech (veterinary nurse) with 20+ years of experience and I have been heavily involved in animal rescue/fostering/shelter volunteering for 30+ years. I am comfortable with behavioral & medical issues and I am the pet sitter that veterinarians choose when they travel whether an animal needs medical care (oral meds, insulin injections, glucose monitoring, SQ fluids, asthma inhalers, home cooked meals, assisted walks for mobility issues, etc) or just a caring & active sitter with the ability to recognize illness if it arises. Lots of experience with geriatric pets and care during cancer treatments, cardiac disease, as well as extensive experience with shy, reactive and fearful animals. If your pet has mobility issues, I have a padded wagon & stroller available so that they can still enjoy walks! And for the active pets, I am an avid hiker and love hitting the trails. Rates are adjusted based on the care that is needed so feel free to set up a meet & greet so I can give you a quote. I have wonderful 12yr old & 7yr old, medium & large mixed breed rescue pups and my roommate has an 11yr old, 10 lb pup. We recently adopted one of our many medical foster cats and she completes our family! Like the dogs in our family, she also comes with a heart murmur & IBD so I am no stranger to caring for cats with medical needs. When I am not home I have pet cameras to monitor your pup indoors and when I am home, they will have access to a large, fenced yard (also monitored by pet cameras), countless toys, a puppy pool in the summer and lots of walks, play time & adventures with me. I am extremely reliable, honest, caring and capable. I am an over-communicator so you will never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I love to take pictures & videos on my visits to send daily updates to provide peace of mind to pet parents :) I am working on an easy way to share go pro videos of my visits! I strive to be the pet sitter that I would want caring for my own pets ... and those are big shoes to fill! Some of the dogs that I have cared for are now good friends of my dogs and like to join us on hikes and adventures with their pet parents :) I have been with Rover for several years but took a break during a busy time in my veterinary career. I am back with much more availability and I have a lifetime of experience, so please give me a try and talk to some of my references or set up a meet and greet! My fees may be slightly higher than others but I guarantee that you will see the difference reflected in my care. Thank you!! My own yard has a 6ft privacy fence, security cameras and a gate that is secure & locks. My house is pet proofed. I am a licensed vet tech (RVT/CVT) and I have to pass background checks and drug tests for work. I have lived in my home for 17 yrs and know many people in northern Colorado veterinary & animal welfare community.

Lisa was fantastic. She took wonderful care of my kitties, especially the older diabetic one who requires extra attention. I'm always nervous to leave my cats when I go out of town, but knowing she was taking care of them helped put me at ease. She's communicative, clearly loves animals, and charges fair prices for her skills and knowledge.

I cannot say enough good things about Lisa and she will be the first choice in pet sitters for us. Twenty minutes before our shuttle was arriving for our trip, one of our cats began exhibiting signs of a UTI (he had been fine the day before and all morning). I called Lisa, uncertain if we should go or stay. She insisted we go and took our ailing cat to the vet, making him an immediate priority. Throughout our time away, Lisa sent updates and asked questions as needed. She was not overbearing with her updates and she responded quickly to our texts. When we arrived home, our pets were all happy. It was very clear Lisa went above and beyond as she had taken out the trash, laundered her bedding, and it even appeared she had picked up pet waste in the yard. Lisa is worth every penny and more!
Lisa is the best, helped celebrate our fur baby’s 12 bday.

I work a flexible schedule and I adjust my hours based around the needs of the animals that I am caring for. I can accommodate most requests
