My husband (who goes by Marc) and I both work from home Mon-Friday. We are very active and will take your dog on multiple walks per day. Other than kids sports a few nights a week, we are mostly home. We love the companionship of a dog while we are working from home. Your dog will get LOTS of love and attention at our house. ****We will take more than 1 dog at a time depending on the dogs. Please feel free to reach out even if our calendar shows booked***

Our backyard is spacious and fenced all around. We don’t mind if dogs sleep in our bed at night. We prefer they do not sit on the couch but small dogs it’s bound to happen :)

Information Lisa & John C. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog jump up on small children or have any issues being around children? Will your dog be okay around another dog if we do a meet and greet during his stay? How does your dog react when passing another dog on a walk?
A typical day
The family is usually up by 7. We will let the dog out in the backyard first thing then hang out and play in the kitchen while we make breakfast. Your dog will get a big walk an hour or two after waking. Throughout the day our 6 and 4 year old will play with your dog, throw toys in the backyard or the spacious basement. On work days, if the weather is nice I will work from the deck so your dog can enjoy the backyard. We will likely take the dog on a second big walk later in the day. Then lights out around 10.

Dog loving family of four
Pet care experience
Our family had a schnauzer poodle mix from ‘12-‘19 when he passed due to lymphoma. Since then we’ve filled the dog void by taking care of our neighbors and friends dogs. We’ve held off on getting another dog until our kids are a bit older. We’ve watched dogs overnight/weekly with size ranging from 4lb chihuahua to 70 lb lab mix. We have two boys ages 4 and 6 who also love having dogs in the house.

Another great weekend for George with Lisa Mark and the boys :)

Thank you Lisa and John for taking such great care of Buddy! The pictures you shared were priceless showing what a wonderful time he had with your boys and his furry friends! We appreciate you opening your home and providing a loving environment for him. Thank you!

George was so glad to see his Rover family!

Lisa and family are very sweet people. Unfortunately, my 2 dogs had diarrhea the second night they were at her house. Poor Lisa had to clean up the diarrhea, get her carpet cleaned, and bathe the dogs. I feel so bad for her that that happened. I know my older dog loves it at their house (he stayed there for 2.5 weeks before). I had to come home from my trip early, because it was too much for the family (I completely understand)…and the dogs continued to have diarrhea. She tried really hard to help the dogs get over the diarrhea, to no avail. I have no regrets; I just wish this hadn’t happened to her.
