Home Away from Home

I've had dogs and cats my whole life in my home. Additionally, I have experience fostering Labradors so I'm quite used to high-energy breeds! For the past few years I have been dog-sitting for friends, co-workers and family. I absolutely treat their pets like my own family when they are with me. I have experience administering both oral and injectable medications.

Lisa always takes such great care of my dog, Titan! She gives him lots of play time and snuggles, and Titan gets excited as soon as we park in her driveway. Lisa also gives him his allergy pill, and his skin looks good when we pick him up. My family is happy to reach out to Lisa whenever we go out of town.

Our dog stayed for a trial one night sleepover before a longer stay in May. Lisa was wonderful and the dog was just fine and happy, no anxiety or anything. We are looking forward to our travel and our dog’s longer stay with Lisa

Lisa took such great care of our dog Titan! She made sure that he got along well with her dogs, and she had tons of toys for them to play with. Titan also loved her dog beds, blankets, and back yard! Lisa sent multiple photos, and it was great to see Titan playing and snuggling with her family. We'll happily reach out again the next time we go out of town!

Schedule

My family and I have overlapping schedules and flexibility. I have time in the morning and afternoon to care for the animals in my charge. They will only be left up to 3 hours max on a workday before I'm back home. Unless you instruct otherwise, pets are allowed on the furniture and they can sleep in the bed.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard, security cameras, and 3 friendly dogs who are used to other dogs visiting. One is a small breed, one is a senior Labrador, and I have a high energy Shepherd mix. I allow my dogs on the furniture and on my bed and your dog is welcome to do the same unless you specify otherwise.

Pets

A typical day

There are great trails near my house that my Labrador loves. There is also a Greenway to keep to the pavement if needed. I have a fenced play area in the back yard. My dogs enjoy playing with other dogs if they are open to it. I also have baby gates throughout the house to keep them separated for those dogs who are more shy.

I need to meet a dog in advance of their first stay at my home to assess for temperament. Safety of all dogs is my first priority. I need to know if there are issues with negative behaviors and how those behaviors are typically managed. I've found that the dogs who have boarded with me are less anxious if they have met us and seen the house before an extended stay.
