Safety, trust & environment

At our home, we provide truly personalised Home from Home care based on your individual dogs needs behaviour and personality. We know that every dog is different. Some might be energetic and painful while others are more sensitive and prefer a calm environment and we can adapt our approach accordingly. Any dog that comes to stay with us he cared for as part of our family with their comfort and safety being the centre of everything we do. We are fortunate to have a very large Secure garden where dogs can enjoy safe outdoor time to play and explore. There was always somebody at home and it would only be an exceptional circumstances that a dog may be left alone for up to 45 minutes.. supervision, companionship and reassurance are a key part of the care that we provide Our home is set up to accommodate different needs so if your dog is trait trained and feels most secure in their crate we have space to provide this if they are used to sleep on a bed or a sofa we can accommodate that too. We are fortunate enough to have three separate living rooms so they would not have to share their sofa with any other dog. We aim to maintain their routines as much as possible but a typical day in our home begins around 7 am with family time between seven and nine with us getting up dressed and ready for the day dogs are walked between nine and 11 and again depending upon the dogs need for exercise so we will tailor that depending upon your dogs needs an age. Within tend to let the dogs have some calm downtime after their walk, but if they prefer to continue to play outside or sit on our lap for a cuddle that’s absolutely fine between around three and five we offer further enrichment for the dogs, so we’ll play ball in the garden and things like that if they want to followed by a further late afternoon early evening walk and then bedtime for our dogs is usually around 10 pm ensuring a calm and settled end to the day We always feed dogs separately to ensure safety and reduce any risk when caring for dogs from different households. We take additional precautions particularly around introductions and all introductions are carried out to ensure the dogs feel safe and comfortable. We are able to keep dogs separate if needed and should separation be required. Dogs will still have supervision companionship and access to comfort in their own allocated space. We as a family have already owned an old English sheepdog, Cavalier King Charles, golden retrievers and most recently Bailey are giant Saint Bernard. Unfortunately, after a very short illness Bailey died in January this year. Therefore, we don’t currently have a dog of our own within the Home, but we are sure that will change in a few more months, as we can’t imagine our life without a dog in it

Pet care experience

We have been caring for dogs for many years and have experience with small medium and giant breeds. Although we are new to this site, we’re certainly not new to providing loving, reliable and experienced care to dogs. We are a family of 4, with 2 children. We have a number of pets like ferrets, Guinea pigs and chickens. But these can all be kept away from your dog if your dog is not good with other dogs we also offer a one dog only booking at an extra charge. Our home offers a very large garden, fully secure with plenty of space to run play and explore safely. We are also surrounded by beautiful countryside providing wonderful daily walks with fresh air, enrichment and plenty of sniffing opportunities. We are in a village location near to the motorway and just about 15 minutes from Luton Airport. As a family of animal lovers were used to caring for a range of pets including rabbits, guinea pigs ferrets and chickens so we understand the importance of attentive care routine and individual needs. Your dog will enjoy a calm caring environment with plenty of companionship and supervision. Our boarding licence application submitted. By way of update, our beautiful Saint Bernard Bailey died at the start of January so we don’t currently have our own dog.

George absolutely loved his stay with Lisa and the family, we were updated plenty on how he was. He got lots of love while there and he came out smiling. Couldn’t ask for better people to take care of our fur baby. Thank you so much, we will be back.

I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough, she went above and beyond to make Charlie feel welcome, settled and part of the family. Lisa kept in regular contact sharing updates of Charlie’s adventures. I will be sure to use Lisa’s services again - thank you Lisa and family! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lisa and her family were absolutely amazing with Mila - I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I dropped her off, I felt completely at ease knowing she was in such caring, attentive hands. It’s so clear how much love they have for dogs, and Mila was treated like part of the family the entire time. I got updates throughout the day which was so reassuring, and she came back happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after. It means everything to know she was not only safe but genuinely enjoying herself. I would 100% love for Mila to stay with Lisa and her family again in the future – they were brilliant in every way. Highly, highly recommend! She loves her new toys too 🐾
