Every situation can be different. Meeting with the client and their animals is important. I like to know about any vices, medications, vet info, where supplies are at, etc. Taking notes and leaving daily notes for each client keeps communication open and I find is appreciated.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behavioral issues that I should be aware of. I also like to know what your pet likes and dislikes. It’s important to keep them as happy, healthy and comfortable as they can be with you away.

I love playing with the animals as well as spending time giving belly rubs. Some dogs enjoy frisbees, some balls, some love to swim and jump off a dock. My energy is always calm. I try to soothe with gentle hands and a reassuring voice.

I have had many different animals my entire life including cats, ferrets, chinchillas, chickens, ducks, hamsters, rabbits… In my 20’s I founded “Not Just Pets, Professional Pet Care”. In my 30’s I founded “Equine Specialist, Care and Training”. I had horses for over 30 years. I trained, showed, pleasure road, belonged to 3 horse clubs and eventually started my own 4-H club. I have bred and trained Boston Terriers and German Shepherds. Currently, I have 4 dogs that I rescued from a SC kill shelter. I have worked with Aly from Coal Mountain and Karen from Arcadia Animal Rescue’s. Both have been amazed by how well adjusted the four dogs have become considering how terrified they were in which no one else would take a chance on. Animals are my passion and greatest friends! I am currently taking an online course to become a Certified Canine Massage Therapist.
