Pet care experience

Loving/compassionate petsitter :)

I've raised dogs since childhood until now. From all ages, administering care/medicine and training as needed. All temperaments have been wonderful regardless of breed (adult fur babies have been rottweiler and boxer). Fosters strong values and respect between owner/dog and ensures that both are always comfortable. Body language is huge with animals, and they respond well with trust, consistency, positive reinforcement & love. It really has to come from the heart when providing the best care for any animal, especially when they are a part of the family. Dogs give unconditional love and deserve to be shown the same :) Currently, my schedule is flexible. I provide exceptional care for your loving fur baby, and he/she would be a welcome as a part of our family in our home. I work with many dogs with obedience & socializing. However, when I do have to leave your dog in my home alone, I am typically gone no longer than 45 minutes at a time. I am up early in the morning and am woken easily in case they need to go out in the night. I have a large crate and fencing (when/if needed) for indoors to block off certain areas of the house. Townhouse has a large front lawn area w/ loads of nearby hiking trails, lakes and parks to go on scenic walks/runs. Short walk to two pet stores and grocery stores. Dog parks close. I keep the house very clean too. Interior & Exterior camera's are installed to maximize safety and monitoring my save neighborhood near Eastlake High School.

Lisa was able to stop by on very short notice and watch Olaf. She took him out and about so he wouldn't be stuck in his cage for the majority of the trip so he got a ton of play time and was kept distracted from us being gone. Only person we will use.

Lisa is the best. She is always there whenever we need her even if her schedule is packed. In addition to the time given to Olaf she also feeds our bird and fish and even finds time to tidy up the house. Never will go with anyone else.

Schedule

I have another part-time job working from home, so I have lots of time to spend with my boarders. Additionally, I work with many pets and their owners to help properly socialize their puppy or adopted dog with other clients' dog services (with your agreement), after establishing trust and temperament of your dog.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

Trust & safety for your dog is a top priority for me. I keep my home clean and hazard free. I spend time during meet & greet to review my home & car environment. Open to customizing my home to best suit your dogs needs.

A typical day

Although there is no 'typical day' in my life, I guarantee a minimum of two 15-20 minute walks (morning & evening); along with a longer walk or hike between 45-1 hour each day. I often provide custom services and additional adventures as part of an added benefit. Safe, quiet and friendly community with lots of grass areas and minimal vehicle traffic so it remains very safe for children/pets. Within a few blocks, there is a 1/2-mile pond/marsh area connecting to a wide walking trail making for an easy 5-mile round trip adventure from home. Beaver Lake, Pine Lake, Soaring Eagle, and Evans Creek preserve are all favorites of mine. I love to stay active and be outside as much as possible. PetSmart, Mud Bay, and Starbucks (puppuccino) are around the corner for field trip adventures and/or special request product/service needs. My happy place includes (on average) between 4-5 miles of walking/hiking with a good balance of helping and bringing joy to both people and their fur babies. I look forward to the opportunity to become a trusted and reliable service provider for your family.

It is most helpful to know as much as possible about you and your fur baby upfront because my priority is to build joyful and long-lasting relationships with you while building a strong bond with your fur baby. Some examples include: *Separation Anxiety or Scare Easily ~along with any unique strategies implemented to more quickly help your fur baby feel safe & comfortable. *Are there times/tendencies to bark or bite *Any medical or age-related needs *Any dietary restrictions or allergies *Is he/she well socialized and gets along well with other dogs or animals *Any fear of water/baths or Car rides (I have a fully padded/nonslip/hammock backseat cover in my SUV installed for easy and safe transportation) *Is your fur baby allowed on furniture or not. Your fur baby's happiest sleeping and/or napping place *Any concerns or issues with past sitters *Is your fur baby well-trained or does he/she need guidance and training with leash walking and/or other command training (Your baby will always be on a leash outside with the exception of dog parks or other secured fencing.)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
