I work from home most of the time, and I’m only gone for short periods of time during the day or evening. That leaves lots of time for cuddles, treats when mom or dad say it is okay, playtime in the backyard and the house, and neighborhood walks. My college age children are here a lot too, and they join in to take care of all the dogs that visit our home.

I have a fenced backyard with grass and a natural wooded area, with lots of wildlife. I am happy to use crates for crate trained dogs. I believe in positive reinforcement and lots of praise. I have experience giving oral and topical meds and caring for senior dogs. My two standard poodles are spayed females and up to date on vaccinations.

If your dog has any special needs or fears, please let me know. I like to ensure the dogs are comfortable and maintain their routine as much as possible. I also love to know their favorite toys, treats, and activities, even if the favorite activity is napping :-) I’m comfortable with all dog breeds and have special place in my heart for all the poodles, doodles, and everything curly coated in between!
A typical day
Food, playtime, cuddles, and rest are all part of our day. We go for walks in the cooler parts of the day (or the warmer parts in winter.) I have a great neighborhood for walking and a large park nearby for walks on the weekend. Dogs are always leashed when we are out of the house. There is lots of fenced backyard time for potty breaks, sniffing all the good smells, and observing the wildlife.

Pet care experience
I grew up around animals and have been a dog owner all of my adult life, I’m experienced caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. I currently have two standard poodles, and they are members of the family! I have a fenced backyard and a great neighborhood for dog walks and lots of good sniffs :) I use positive reinforcement and give lots of cuddles, pets, and praise. My grown children in the home are great with dogs too.

Lisa was WONDERFUL and took care of my senior boxer like he was her own. I had never left my dog with a sitter before and was nervous about doing so, but Lisa made me feel completely at ease. She is so warm, loves animals, and sent pictures everyday to assure me that my sweet old guy was doing great. My dog absolutely loved her and we will always book with Lisa in the future!!! 12/10 the best dog sitter on here. Thank you, Lisa!!!
Lisa was great with Tater. We get anxious about leaving our pup with just anyone since he’s an older dog with a lot of anxieties. But after meeting Lisa, I felt immediately comfortable. She was excellent about communicating before and during Tater’s stay. He had some tummy trouble while there, which she communicated to us about and was on top of it. She has the experience to know how to handle those situations. She was flexible with our drop off and pick up times. And she sent cute pictures throughout too. We will definitely use Lisa again.
Lisa was great to work with, had good communication (including pictures!) and took great care of our pups while we were away! She got to know them and really made it feel like home! Thank you! Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a home away from home for your fur babies.
