I've taken care of dogs for thirty years. I currently have one adorable Shih Tzu that your dog can play with, or I can keep separated depending on your dog's personality. There is plenty of house and yard to go around. I also have experience fostering dogs and puppies for the Asheville Humane Society. I am currently an empty-nester with plenty of time to focus on caring for your furry family members. Throughout my years as a dog-owner, I have taken care of multiple older dogs, and have had years of practice getting dogs to take their pills, so there's no need to worry if your dog needs to take any pill medications during their stay. I look forward to walking, playing with, lounging with, and overall taking care of your dogs while you relax on vacation.

We booked with Lisa when we were in the area so we could go skiing. She gave us updates during the day. I could tell that my dog was relaxed and happy while he was there. I would recommend Lisa, and I would book with her again if I’m in the area with my dog.
We were traveling to Asheville with our Roxy and we needed to have her stay with someone while we were at the Inn at Biltmore since they don't allow dogs. We live in NJ and wanted her to be close by in NC. We found Lisa on Rover and we are so happy we did. We drove up to Lisa's house and I let Roxy out of the car. Lisa took her leash and Roxy never looked back. Everyday we got a photo or two of Roxy either sunbathing on Lisa's deck or playing with toys, along with a little update. I could sense the moment I met Lisa that she had a special connection with dogs. It made our stay so enjoyable knowing that our pup was with someone who was taking very good care of her. Dogs don't talk, but they let you know how they feel in doggo language. She told us she had an amazing time. Thank you, Lisa, and when we come back we will definitely book with you again.
I recently had surgery, requiring me to board my dog with Lisa for a month. The idea of leaving Bree in someone else’s home for so long was very unsettling. I worried that she would think she had been abandoned but as it turned out, staying with Lisa is like going to doggy camp. Talk about the perfect backyard for dogs! It’s huge, shaded and completely fenced in with a 6 ft privacy fence. Bree had a blast. Lisa sent pics every day of Bree running through the yard, playing with toys and then enjoying some downtime. Lisa is very dog savvy, so you are leaving your dog in good hands with her. Bree will definitely be a repeat customer. ?
