Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.

Information Lisa & Cameron F. would like to know about your pet

Every dog has their own little quirks, and honestly we love hearing about them. Does your dog sleep with a blanket? Carry a toy everywhere? Have a favorite treat? Need white noise? Think socks are a food group? The more we know ahead of time, the easier it is for us to make them feel at home. Because we have young children, we aren't able to accept dogs with a history of aggression, but we're happy to work with all kinds of personalities when we know what to expect.

A typical day

Every dog is different, so no two stays look exactly alike. Some dogs want to spend all morning exploring the backyard while we tend to the garden. Others would rather curl up next to us while we answer emails or chase the kids around the house. Some are ready for neighborhood walks the second they grab their leash, while others are perfectly content sunbathing on the deck. At a minimum, your dog will have frequent potty breaks, fresh water, lots of attention, playtime, treats (if approved), and plenty of opportunities to relax. If your pup has a favorite routine, just let us know. We'll do our best to stick with what they're used to.

One Guest at a Time 🐾

Pet care experience

We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both!

They were a treat to work with! I was a little nervous leaving my 6-month-old Australian Shepherd because of how much energy and attention young Aussies require, but they exceeded all expectations. They took excellent care of him during his stay, including taking him on multiple hikes and making sure he got plenty of exercise and enrichment. It was clear when I got home that he was happy, healthy, and well cared for. I really appreciated the level of attention and care they provided, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.

Lisa and Cameron were wonderful to work with. We are very selective about who our pup stays with as she has separation anxiety and takes time to acclimate to new dogs. We loved that they only host one dog at a time and they were extremely communicative and accommodating from the start. They watched our dog during our wedding reception night and their reliability gave us peace of mind. They took her outside for walks, potty breaks and played with her a ton. Our dog looked so comfortable and happy with their children too. Lisa shared updates through-out the evening with photos and letting us know how our girl was doing. I’d definitely use them again.

Lisa is our neighbor and has taken care of our dog Pickle multiple times. She’s a gem to communicate with, and she knows how make dogs comfortable and happy. The first time we went away, Lisa knew that Pickle might be anxious, so she checked our house carefully for accidents. She’s a seasoned dog owner who’s intuition she was right - Pickle had pooped on our daybed. She proceeded to clean it all up and washed all of our blankets and never once complained about the mess. Would 100% recommend! -Danielle D
