Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine since I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My own pets are woven into my day — from morning walks and playtime to cuddle breaks between meetings. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to give plenty of attention, love, and care, and I can easily adjust my schedule to meet the needs of the pets I’m caring for.

I keep to their normal routines as much as possible, whether that’s regular walks, mealtimes, or snuggle time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their instructions closely so their pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space. Every animal is unique, so I adjust my care to fit their needs — whether that means extra play for high-energy pets, quiet companionship for shy ones, or sticking to special diets and routines.

It’s always helpful to know about a pet’s routines, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. Things like their feeding schedule, favorite activities, walking style, and how they do around other pets are great to share. I also like to know if they have any health concerns, medications, or quirks (like being nervous with loud noises or pulling on leash) so I can make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible. The more I know, the more I can make their time with me feel just like home.
A typical day
I love keeping pets engaged in ways that fit their personality and energy level. For dogs, that might mean walks around the neighborhood, playtime in the yard, games of fetch, or even some training practice if they enjoy it. For cats, I make sure they get plenty of play with toys, climbing, or just cozy cuddle time if that’s what they prefer. My goal is to make sure every pet feels loved, entertained, and comfortable while they’re with me.

Pet care experience
I’ve been a proud dog and cat mom for over 15 years and can’t imagine life without animals. Right now, I share my home with a sweet 6-year-old Lab/German Shepherd mix and two silly cats (one 5 years old and one still a kitten at 6 months). For the past 5 years, I’ve also fostered for a local animal rescue, which has given me so much experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or snuggles on the couch, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels loved and cared for like one of my own.

Such a great experience. Our dog, Jimmy, is a 3-year-old cattle dog mix with lots of energy, and he had the best time during his drop-off visits. He loved playing with Scout, and it was so nice knowing he had a built-in playmate. Every time I picked him up, he came home happy, tired, and clearly well cared for.
