I work mostly outside, if weather permits, under my huge covered patio overlooking the lake. With plenty of supervised playtime, your dog will have endless opportunities to engage in fun activities and exercise with George & Steve, while enjoying a huge view of the lake and the forrest.

** Drop off /pickup: Monday - Friday: 7am-9pm Saturday & Sunday: 9am-9pm Hi! I'd love to have your furbaby as a guest at The Bed & Biscuit on Lake Hartwell. I have experience full-time caring for as many as 13 dogs at a time, single-handedly; ten of which were puppies from birth to 15 weeks old. I love dogs and they love me; I treat my own as fur-covered children, and will treat yours the same. * Note: I CANNOT accept cats at my home. Thank you for your understanding. I've never boarded my own babies in an enclosed, hard, impersonal cold kennel, and if you're here, you don't want to either. Let me ease your guilt if YOU'RE going on vacation but can't take your furbaby with you. If they're HERE, you can bet they'll feel like they're on vacation too, at my lakeside B&B for dogs, with fresh air, a sensory garden/yard, grass, the woods, a huge view of the lake with all the forrest creatures walking by and climbing trees...and social sleeping with Pack Mama and the girls (George & Steve). Your dog will have a great time playing with my dogs and tons of toys, while be showered with hugs and snuggles. I reside in a quiet neighborhood in a medium-sized lake cottage. I have a doggie door, wood floors and a huge leather couch with plenty of room for your pooch. The fenced-in backyard looks out over the lake, with plenty of green space for the dogs to run and play. ***** I Request ***** For big dogs: I'd like to do a meet n greet, to make sure they're not aggressive. I CANNOT take aggressive dogs. As a small woman, I'm only able to handle friendly dogs--and I don't want to jeopardize my own dogs' safety. (sweet-hearted Bernedoodles). All dogs must be NEUTERED or SPAYED. However, if your pup is still a baby, let’s talk about options together... thank you so much for your understanding, and apologies for any inconvenience. *Note: I have an arched picket fence...the lowest picket is 30" high. Your dog must have a pre-disposed respect for fences; I cannot accept fence-jumpers or diggers, for THEIR safety. Guest-dogs must not have fleas... and have had some sort of prior flea control/treatment (I prefer Wondercide All Natural collars/spray), as the dogs will be allowed on the furniture and bedding. -------------------------------------------------- PLEASE PROVIDE: Enough Dog Food for the FULL VACAY, Leash & Collar w/tags. *** During your dog's Bed & Biscuit stay, you'll receive updates and photos/videos. Thanks for your time & I look forward to meeting you and your dog. Again: I cannot accept aggressive dogs. My dogs are very non-aggressive and this is their home first, so their safety is my priority. If your dog has ever picked a fight, and does pick a fight, this is not the place. My policy is to call for pick-up upon the FIRST occurrence of unprovoked aggression, as I do not have my home set-up for separation of dogs.
A typical day
Throw a ball, play tug-a-war, let the dogs have free run of the fenced-in yard where they will be super close to nature, seeing the deer and heron walk by, and watching the woods and water and filling their nose with all the yummy smells of OUTSIDE. Splash pad in the summer. Stick library. My dogs, Georgie & Stevie (girls) welcome ALL dogs and love to play.

Pet care experience
I'm a living cliche' : Reclusive award-winning best-selling novelist on the lake (I work outside--lakeside--when weather permits). I don't see many humans...I prefer dogs; they're my muse. And the more, the merrier. My life revolves around my own 2 dogs, and they love company and play-dates!
Reviews
No one I know would care for, love on and protect your furbabies more than Lisa! She has taken care of my sheepadoodle on more than one occasion, and Honor loves going to her house to play with Georgia and Steve, her amazing, well-behaved furfriends. When my dog was attacked and almost killed by some neighbors dogs, she spent 9 days in the clinic, the first few days fighting for her life. Lisa went to see her on numerous days, even taking her a soft blanket, a sweet stuffy and homemade food! That's a true friend and dog lover! I'd pick her over anyone else in my life to take care of my dog!
