I currently work full-time at Woods Humane Society in San Luis Obispo. My current weekly schedule is 8:30-5 Thursday, Friday, and Monday and 8-4:30 Saturday and Sunday. I am happy to accommodate walks and check-ins before and after my shifts. As for overnight sitting, if your pet is able to be left alone for 8+ hours a day on my workdays I am happy to overnight sit. If you are located within 10 minutes of Woods in SLO I can also check-in during my 30 minute lunch break. Please also note that I have pets of my own that may need to be tended to depending on my family’s schedule as well. Therefore even on my days off, your pets may need to be left alone for a few hours whilst I go back to my home. Even though I do work full time, I try to accommodate as much as I can. So even if you feel your pet may not fit my criteria, please feel free to reach out and we can chat and see what we can work out!

While caring for your pets, safety is the top priority. I will never push an animal beyond their boundaries, and will always follow your direct instructions. I prefer to meet you and your pets prior to me sitting them to ensure I know all care details. While i’m with your pets I will keep you updated with photos/videos of our day(s) while you’re away (unless told otherwise) and I am happy to accommodate phone/facetime calls for you to check on your pets! I am 100% reachable by phone at all times- if something were to happen with your pet whilst in my care, you will be the first to know. I know exact routes to Animal Emergency Hospitals around the entire county as well as basic dog and cat CPR and first aid. I am very respectful and responsible, your rules come first when i’m watching your pets!

I am totally open to caring for any pet regardless of any health or behavioral issues, and I will never charge more for specialized care. However, it is very important to me that I know everything about your pet and their needs prior to working with them. I want to make their experience the best I possibly can while we're together. Please inform me of any struggles you may face with your pets ahead of time. I will try my best to replicate your routines to lessen any stress so that we can have the best time together!
A typical day
A typical day of caring for your pets will be full of fun, activities, and cuddles! I will cater your pet’s activities to their age, breed, energy level, and preferences. While overnight sitting, I’m happy to take your dogs on daily outings such as a beach/park visit, a hike, a trip to the pet store, and more! Most importantly, I will always communicate with you prior to an outing, and keep you updated on daily activities. I can ensure you that while your dog is in my care, they will be safe, exercised, fulfilled, and happy. My ultimate goal is to bond with your pets and get to know their personalities, while also treating them as if they are my own!

Hi my name is Liora, I am a 20 year old animal enthusiast who has spent my entire life on the central coast of california. I am a full-time employee at Woods Humane Society in San Luis Obispo as an adoption specialist. I am professionally trained in handling dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. I also have hands-on experience with administering medications. My life revolves completely around animals and I love and cherish every second of it. I have been providing dog and cat care on Rover for over a year now, and caring for others’ pets (and my own) independently since I was 8 years old. I look forward to working with you and your pets!

Liora was wonderful to our two cats! She sent pictures and gave us assurance whilst we were away. Great communication as well.
Liora took great care of our 8 mo old puppy over 4th of July weekend. She provided updates reassuring us Ruby tolerated the minimal fireworks in our neighbor well. She sent photos and left the house in very good order. I would gladly have hepr care for Ruby again. 💕
Liora was amazing! Zuko had the best time with her. She even changed the seats for the next sitter. We would 100% use Liora again. We felt completely comfortable with her taking care of our pup and our home. Also, she sent regular updates and pics. Thanks Liora!!
Liora is very sweet, and both my cats bonded with her (one takes a while to warm up). She sent me pictures and videos throughout the time I was gone. With the exception of one communication issue, she was very communicative about how they were doing, what her schedule each day would be, etc.
