Calm & Reliable Large Breed
Pet care experience
Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover, rescue volunteer, and aspiring canine behavior professional who especially enjoys working with dogs who need a little extra patience, structure, and understanding. I have hands-on experience raising and training my own German Shepherd, including obedience training and preparation for AKC obedience trials. I’m also actively studying canine behavior, learning theory, and modern dog-training principles, with a long-term goal of becoming a professional canine behavior consultant. Through Rover and animal rescue work, I’ve gained experience handling dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and behavioral challenges—including dogs who are fearful, anxious, reactive, shy, or easily overstimulated. I enjoy taking the time to understand what a dog is communicating and adjusting my approach accordingly, rather than expecting every dog to respond the same way. My shelter and rescue experience has been especially meaningful. I’ve worked with dogs who needed time to build trust, gain confidence, and become comfortable with new people and environments. These experiences have taught me to pay close attention to body language, stress signals, arousal levels, and individual thresholds. I also bring a professional background in management and analytics, which has strengthened my communication, observation, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. I bring that same calm and thoughtful approach to every dog I work with. If your dog needs more than just a walk—whether they need structure, enrichment, patience, or someone comfortable working with behavioral challenges—I’d love to get to know them. (I’m bilingual in English and Chinese and happy to communicate in either language.)
