I’m at home and available most weekdays and weekends. My main priority in life right now is caring for my dog Mushu, who is mildly active and great with other dogs. 6 months ago we lost his brother, Pagoda, so we’ve been missing having another dog around for walks and outings, as well as just hanging out at home. My schedule mostly wide open these days.

About Lindsey S.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I have a lot of experience earning trust and familiarity with hesitant or selective dogs. My knowledge of dog body language gives me insight as to what your dog may be trying to communicate and what their personal boundaries are. Currently at home I have a single Chinese Shar Pei named Mushu who gets along great with other dogs, but is naturally weary of strangers. Because of my experience with guarding breeds, I’ve learned how to not appear threatening and allow time for dogs to confirm I’m safe to be around. I’m familiar with kenneling up dogs, putting on different types of collars, giving meds, giving injections, specific feeding requirements, etc. Because of my job history I’ve become an expert in avoiding possible mishaps (escaping, biting, choking, overheating, etc.) I’ve worked with and cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds. Cats, fish, and reptiles have also been a part of my life since childhood so I’m familiar with their care as well.

Information Lindsey S. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to first sit down with you and your dog to hear what you’re looking for and how I can help. What I’m offering is a consistent handler able to carry out whatever expectations/rules you have for your dog. To your dog, my role will be a friend they know and trust.
A typical day
Physical and mental exercises that will stimulate your dog’s brain and improve their quality of life. Every dog is different, so allow me to get to know your family member and learn what would most benefit them.

A friend for your reactive dog
Pet care experience
Experienced professional dog trainer specializing in reactive behavior. Grew up around many pets. As an adult worked at an animal shelter where I fell in love with the misunderstood dogs who ended up there. Went on to train and care for dogs at a couple different boarding/daycare facilities, trained dogs at Petsmart for time, and finally graduated to working with reactive (aggressive) dogs at a training/boarding facility. Stepped away from this profession to work on other aspects of my life, and am now looking to lend a helping hand to those who may need it.
Reviews

Lindsey has been great. Her extra dog training skills and understanding has been key for our reactive dog and add so much more than just a walk to the experience. Now we have her coming every week and we and the dog look forward to it. She even goes the extra mile to feed the dog and pull in a package when we’re working late. Highly recommend.

Lindsey is awesome! She takes our dog on all kinds of adventures and mixes in training as well. I have noticed improvements in our dogs walking skills, especially in her ability to sit and patiently wait at street corners. She gets tons of exercise and is tired at night, which is what we need. Lindsey communicates well and sends me cute pictures too. Highly recommend her!
