Pet care experience

Responsible Dog/Cat and Home Sitter

Responsible pet owner and pet/home sitter. I have experience with both small and large dogs and cats. I currently own 2 bordercollie’s and a short haired cat, so I am very familiar with playing chuck-it, dog walks and cleaning litter boxes. I will treat you pet and home as if it where my own making sure that they are well taken care of and exactly the way you left them (if not better 😉). I am willing to travel anywhere between Fairmont and Edgewater. I work online so I can move my schedule for your pets needs. All I require is wifi access when home/pet sitting in your home. Please reach out if you have any questions about me and the services that I can provide.

Lindsey was punctual, professional, and took to the dogs easily. Both Baxter and Higgins seemed to be at ease with her immediately. Overall, a very good experience on short notice.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Pet care is already part of my everyday life. I have two senior Border Collies who keep me on a regular schedule of walks, playtime, feeding, and grooming. I also spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, trail running, and biking, which makes it easy to fit in plenty of exercise for active pets. Because I work online, I can adjust my day to match each pet’s needs, whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I prefer to care for pets in their own home so they can stay in the environment they’re most comfortable with. I follow their normal routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest to keep things consistent. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and I keep their space clean and safe. I’m also happy to send regular updates so you know they’re happy and well cared for while you’re away. If a pet needs to stay in my home, I have a small fenced yard and all the essentials a dog would need for a safe and comfortable stay.

Pets

A typical day

When I’m caring for your pet, I keep their day as close to their normal routine as possible. • Morning: I start with fresh water, a potty break, and breakfast. If they’re used to a morning walk or play session, we head outside or enjoy a game of fetch in the yard. • Midday: I check in for another potty break, some playtime, or a short walk. If they enjoy snuggles, I’ll spend extra time giving them attention. • Afternoon/Evening: We follow their normal feeding schedule and add in another walk or backyard play, depending on their energy level. • Evening wind-down: I make sure they’re comfortable, have fresh water, and feel safe and relaxed before bedtime. Throughout the day, I keep in touch with you by sending photos and updates, so you can see how your pet is doing. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just hanging out together, I make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and care while you’re away.
