Will love your pets like my own!
Pet care experience
I have been around and have loved animals my whole life, and quite frankly, I'm obsessed with them. I spent my summers growing up running with a pack of labradors at Lake Martin, and while living in North Carolina, I volunteered at the Fort Bragg Riding Stables helping to care for over 30 horses. Growing up, my family had a miniature schnauzer that developed diabetes and cancer, so I am familiar and comfortable with giving pets medication or injections. I had a cat for 11 years from a tiny nursing kitten until the day it was time to say goodbye. For a time, I had a husky, and I have frequently found strays and re-home them. Today, I have 3 dogs: a blue heeler, a labradoodle/schnauzer mix, and a true mutt. I believe in using methods of positive reinforcement with my dogs, and we have a relationship of love and trust. They are all completely different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I have been around and comfortable with all kinds of dogs from as small as a chihuahua to as large as a great dane. I also have a few exotic pets, so I am familiar and comfortable with them as well. I have a leopard gecko and a bearded dragon; reptiles are just as welcome as dogs and cats!

When I care for pets in their own home, I try to keep their routine as normal as possible. This helps to keep them comfortable and happy! I want them to feel safe and cared for.
Information Lindsey P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special or specific needs. Do they take medications? Is there a favorite toy? Do thunderstorms frighten them? Are they potentially reactive in certain situations that I should look out for? I want everyone, and especially your pet, to be as safe and comfortable as possible.
A typical day
When I watch a pet, especially a dog (many cats like to hide when their routine is disrupted!), I like to interact and play with it to make it comfortable. Dogs are social creatures. But I also try to keep their routine as normal as possible.
