I’m a school counselor (on hiatus) stay at home mom. I take pride in providing peace of mind for people during their travel. I have 30+ years of experience pet sitting (starting when I was 8), with 15 of those years being professional dog handling when I used to help raise and train guide dogs for blind people. I have a friendly dog that loves to host guests. He adapts his play style to each dog; if they want to run around, he wants to be chased. If they don’t feel like playing, he will give space. Like many resident male dogs, he often feels uncomfortable with large breed adolescent males, particularly intact. I will make decisions on a case by case basis regarding adolescent males. I do require dogs be crated when unattended in my home for their safety and comfort. We can discuss your dog’s unique needs. Please be sure your animals are up to date on vaccinations and preventative meds (flea/tick and heartworm). What can I offer? I can board your dog (or pet!) at my home or do home visits. I’m experienced in smalls like cats, pocket pets, and birds. I have even cared for people’s hobby farms (horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, etc). I have a fenced yard. I’ve adopted 4 Rottweilers in the past with unique behavior issues and fostered many other breeds so I’m used to handling all types of dogs, including those who need a little time to settle in.

Lindsey is AMAZING!! She is so knowledgeable about all kinds of dogs and had a great plan for how to introduce our puppy to other dogs of various sizes. She was kind of willing to answer our numerous questions beforehand as we hadn’t left our puppy much and was willing to keep and eye on some training items we were working on. She sent updates and pictures while we were gone on our longer vacation. Our puppy came home happy, healthy and tired from lots of good playing! We would recommend her to everyone and will be excited to have her help again!

My dog loves to stay with Lindsey and her family! She is so patient and positive and provides such good care to my dog. She makes sure each dog has time to settle in before adding her dog to the mix and also sets up play groups based on the personality of the dogs in her care. They have plenty of time in the yard to play and relax. She's the best!!
Lindsey is experienced, confident and compassionate. We were kept very well informed on how our puppy was doing. She has an excellent set up in her house and yard for taking care of your dog. We have a small breed puppy and she took extra steps to insure his safety by putting blockers under her fence gate so there was no way he could slip underneath it. She tried different methods of feeding that worked better than our method. She closely monitored his playtime and made sure everything went smoothly with her dog and the other dog in her care. She met with us before we booked her and gave us a tour of her home and she explained how she would care for our puppy. We definitely plan to use her again. I highly recommend Lindsey and we’ll definitely rebook her in the future.
We have used Lindsey several times now and are always extremely happy with her care. We keep coming back for a reason - she's absolutely THE BEST!

Schedule
I’m home during the day. Your dog becomes part of my “pack”, built around their comfort level. I have one pet dog, two small kids and two teen step daughters. Sometimes I have other boarded dogs but I’ll always confirm with both dogs’ families before I book an overlap. I won’t book a dog if they aren’t a good match for someone already booked. For home visits. My 2 littles tag along with me. Unless I can get my partner to take them after work hours. I put your pets needs as a priority, so if your pet isn’t fond of children, I won’t let my kids bug them.

Safety, trust & environment
My home has backyard access with a fence (4 foot tall chain link and 6 foot tall privacy fence along the road side). If you don’t want your dog interacting with mine, I am experienced in keeping dogs separate and safe. I’ve boarded/raised over 100 dogs and I’ve never had any issues with dogs getting loose or scuffling. Sitting in your home: I can do the basics such as feeding and potty. I can take your dog for walks or play in your yard and spend some time with them in your home.

A typical day
A typical day: Your pet will hang out with me and my family in our normal routine. Your dog won’t be unattended in the yard, unless you and I work out an arrangement for extra outdoor time. All my doors have a latch my kids can’t reach, so dogs aren’t able to slip out of secure areas. I play the radio at night and the first day, this helps comfort dogs. Each dog has a crate in my kitchen, unless you want your dog in a separate room. I take photos to send families. Especially on the first day.
