I work from home, so your dog will get lots of love, pets, snuggles, walks, and potty breaks. Because I have a fenced-in yard, your dog can watch all the squirrels run around and get fresh air whenever it wants. I do have to run out a few times a day for school drop-off and pick-up, so it's best if your pup can be left alone in my home for small windows of time.

The backyard gets great afternoon sun, and many of the pups I watch love sunbathing back there. I also have a great covered front porch with a gate, which is perfect for keeping watch. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! ***Your dog must be able to climb stairs. Unfortunately, there is no way around that at my home. Many stairs lead from the back deck to the yard, upstairs to downstairs, and stairs off the front porch (only four)***

Information Lindsey M. would like to know about your pet
Tell me about your furry friend! After doing this for a long time, here are a few of the questions I'll always ask you: -Are there any health issues I should be made aware of? -Would your dog be okay if I left him/her alone for a little bit? I'm usually always home, but sometimes I need to run an errand or two. If you're more comfortable with me crating them when I leave, I can do that too - but it's not necessary if you feel they don't need it. -Do they get along with other dogs and children? -How many walks per day? -How are they on the leash? -Anything important you think I should know? (i.e., doesn't like cats, doesn't like trucks, won't walk in the rain, only poops on walks, never poops on walk, can't have human food, obsessed with balls, etc.) I don't have any breed preferences, but I would prefer there were no aggression issues and your pup is housebroken - but I do understand that accidents happen! Please bring anything you feel will make a more enjoyable stay for your dog: bed, toys, stuffed toys, blankets, treats, crate, etc.
A typical day
Getting outside for fresh air and walks is a requirement in our home. We don't let the weather outside deter us; we still get out and walk. There are also 4 baseball fields behind our house, which all have gates you can close. Depending on the dog and owner's comfort level, I bring the pups I watch to play ball, throw the frisbee, and burn off some energy. I only do this if it's okay with the owner; otherwise, I'll never take your dog off-leash.

Pet care experience
Besides the fact that I'm obsessed with dogs and have lots of love and attention to give them. I've been around dogs my entire life and I'm comfortable with all breeds. For 8 years I dog sat for four dogs (all various ages, breeds, and sizes) in San Diego. This would include overnight sleepovers (sometimes for weeks at a time), feeding, walking, running, playing ball, trips to dog beach, drop-ins, and overall care. When I relocated to Asheville in November of 2019 a family member suggested I check out Rover since I was such a big dog lover. I’ve been doing it ever since and I’ve loved every moment of it. We have a great space to host your dog overnight. We live in a stand-alone house with a fenced-in yard and a great little neighborhood that's lovely for walks. One important thing worth mentioning is that I have two little ones, a four year old and a six month old so having your furbaby be comfortable around kids is a must for me. I always set up a meet and greet before committing to make sure we are a good fit!
Reviews

Lindsey did a great job with my dog including dealing with some issues that came up.
Lindsey was awesome! Communication was great and she was very trustworthy. Will definitely be dropping Chevy off again.

Lindsey made me feel very easeful about my first time using Rover. I could tell my dog felt very comfortable with her and her family, and she kept in touch well during his stay. I trust that my dog was well-loved and cared for with Lindsey, and would book her again!

Lindsey was amazing! Super communicative and was able to help us out with a last minute change to our booking request. I could tell moose enjoyed his stay. I would highly recommend.
