I worked for the LaSPCA for around a year -when I wasn't handling pets from 2lbs- 100lbs at our clinic, I was dogsitting in my cubicle! I would watch, walk, and play with anyone from my coworkers elderly toothless Chihuahua, Kiwi <3 to a stray that needed a walk and a little extra love and socializing. I learned a lot about care for dogs and cats through constant communication with vets, experienced coworkers, and pet owners. I cared for and fostered a young Chihuahua-Min Pin mix named Chile <33 for around 5 months. He was sick when he came in, so I have experience giving medication to a stubborn pet hahaha. With extra love and determination, we were able to get him treatment and he is now adopted and off meds! My entire childhood consisted of snuggling my pugs and now I live with Slippy, the sweetest cat ever and love to play with her and give her scritchies!
